During the winter months, do you like blankets piled on you and a cool room or a warm room and light on the blankets?

At night, we keep our thermostat set at 63° in the winter. It can be pretty chilly when I get undressed and first get into bed.

My wife likes to pile blankets on top of her. I like mine laid smoothly over me and tucked in at the foot of the bed so that no air gets in.

I always sleep between sheets. But in the winter months, we have a woven blanket over the sheet and, on top of that, a soft, fairly light weight but super insulating blanket made of some kind of amazing fabric. I'm as snug as a bug in a rug. But like I said, my wife piles extra stuff wllly nilly on top of herself. She also wears fleece pajamas, a robe and warm socks. LOL
I just wear my short, baggy, boxer briefs and gray, crew neck, diabetic socks. I don't have diabetes, I just discovered that I love the fabric.

I definitely prefer blankets all the way! I usually have ice-cold veins especially in my hands. The thickness of my blanket before I sleep reminds me of cuddling with my parents. Bringing in a stuffed animal is a bonus, but it'd always be on the floor when I wake up! My sister has the same complaint, but it has been ages since we had sleepovers!

Oh, how I wish I could enjoy cold winters! I live in one of the hottest cities. I wish I was born in the northern side of my country because at least I'd get to enjoy cold snowy winters everyday 😭 I like a cool/cold room and number of planets piled on me which I get to do when I turn on my air conditioner. 😊

I would like to have a warmer room without needing to pile up many layers of blanket. But that comes with two cons

1. More expensive setup

2. Vulnerability of falling ill if I went outside too quickly

I do not like to stack a lot of blankets. Right now, my setup is moderately warm room with a thick blanket. Right amount of warmth, weight and cost.

I was raised in an old farmhouse. 38 degrees in my bedroom! You learn to be quick going to the bathroom and to conserve heat in your bed when you go!
