Semaglutide and yoyo effect?

I notice a massive weight loss among patients with overweight and Diabetes 2 since our National Health Insurance finances 100% of semaglutide therapy. Even if people don't apply because they don't have Diabetes 2 but are obese, monthly Ozempic therapy costs around 100-120 USD here. (minimal wage is around 1200 USD here currently). Practically every one can afford it.

What is your experience with that medication and what does it cost in your country?
I'm just curious since on of my patients lost 60kg just in 4 months.
Maybe it's the holly grail to get rid of massive obesity problems in first world countries?

It doesn't cause weight loss in everyone and was developed for diabetics not weight loss. Also it's expensive if insurance doesn't pay for it.

Accompanied a female friend to med appointment yesterday and the endo said that diabetics with insulin resistance may not see weight loss at lower doses.

@RavVid I know a lot of people that are true diabetics that do not lose weight no matter what dose they're on.

OK. The endo indicated that type 2's are basically insulin resistant and that type 1's gradually become insulin resistant. Other than semaglutide helping to regulate blood glucose, I don't know much.

Sad for my friend as excess weight is causing physical problems rather than being a beauty issue.

Don't use but a friend does. About $400/month. She is not seeing any weight loss.
