Not a troll, studies show that having thicker thighs can be associated with better health outcomes, though the phrase mainly highlights the link between strong legs and longevity. This is because thicker thighs often indicate higher muscle mass, which improves insulin sensitivity and metabolic health, reducing the risk of diseases like diabetes and heart disease. Additionally, fat in the hips and thighs, specifically subcutaneous fat, may produce beneficial substances that protect against inflammation, unlike abdominal fat.

I have always thought strong legs and thighs are a benefit to a person.
And to obtain strong thighs you would need to exercise, and therefore there would be medical reasons too.
Cycling is well known to improve health, and longevity.
I cycle everywhere and I try to avoid public transport, and I don't own a car.
Another benefit of Cycling is it gives you shapely young looking legs and behind.
I strongly advise everyone to cycle, and only buy an Electric Cycle at the last resort.
Yep I'm sure cycling is a good way to maintain good legs, the only thing that sucks is when they take a whole lane on the road to ride their bicycles lol
I try to keep off busy roads, and stay on cycle lanes, so it's the motorists that are the offenders driving too close, and being too impatient, and driving too fast.
But now you've seen the light, ditch your car (not literally) and travel by cycle.
Also with a folding cycle, you can put them on buses, trams, and trains.
@ChicoFromThe305 We must be an unhealthy lot on GAG's, health and fitness questions seem to have a poor response 😄
Muscular large thighs will not be a problem. What might be a problem is if there's an abnormal build up of fat on the hips, thighs, and buttocks, causing pain, tenderness, and easy bruising, or orange peel texture to the skin. Also a problem could be swelling through a build up of fluid in the tissues. Also obesity.
Cycling can prevent all these problems, and probably be a remedial solution to them too.
I have always had thick legs. Mine are like a weightlifters. This is the first I have heard of thick thighs saving lives.
It seems your thick thighs have been saving your life and you didn't even realize lol
Well how about that eh.
Okay I'll take the eh 😂
I thought they cause health issues, such as thrombosis.
I don't know, maybe both lol
