For me, it would be losing my mental faculties so something like dementia would be a bad one to get.
So how about you? Which medical condition would you consider to be the worst to get?
Watching my Father die from Parkinson disease and slowly deteriorating for 12 years was pretty horrifying. So I would have to say that.
I imagine ALS. You lose all control over your body but your mind still works. You just lie there until you die.

Huntington's Korea.
It's known to be the worst disease ever!

Well, having a bladder condition isn't as much fun as I prolly make it look but I'd really hate to have zoanthropy:
A rare psychiatric syndrome where a person has the delusional belief that they have transformed into an animal. A specific type is clinical lycanthropy, the belief that one has transformed into a wolf, while other cases can involve a wide range of other animals, such as a cow (boanthropy), a cat, or a chicken.
If I had zoanthropy and believed I was a chicken I know my evil, middle sister would just lock me in the chicken house at nite with the rest of the chickens and she prolly wouldn't even give me any xtra grain.
Try living with Epilepsy. Constantly hurting your brain, breaking bones, not knowing what is what after a seizure. Drugged up on medication that makes you feel sick all-the-time, as well as causing vision problems, memory problems, speech impairment. Loosing your child, loosing your friends, loosing your license, loosing your work, loosing your your independence, loosing your health. Living in fear every day when the next seizure is going to happen and where the next one will turn you into a vegetable. And no cure.
Although dementia would be something I wouldn't want to experience, as the burden is on your immediate relatives, Parkinson ranks high on this list. I've seen what it did to my father and how he went through every stage the doctors had foreseen. Maybe knowing what the outcome will be is the hardest thing, as he was fully conscious.
I think that's true for most people. Some like Robin Williams, diagnosed with Lewy Body disorder, make an early exit. My other fear is having some cancer with a poor prognosis, like pancreatic cancer. In that case I would refuse treatment and take an early exit.
alzheimers, shizophrenia, whatever conditions cause you to need a colloscopy bag, fish odor syndrome, progeroid diseases (different conditions that make you age much much faster. like you could be 20 but look 60), blindness, whatever conditions make you paralyzed
I thought dementia of some kind, but at least you don't know it's happening. It's worse for the people who love you. A slow cancer when you know what is happening is worse, you all know what is going on until the end. Strokes suck, too.
I'm looking forward to a quick death from a heart attack or a skiing accident.
Autoimmune disease is pretty bad. I know someone who has it and has to get an injection every month to suppress her immune system. It's something you'll have your entire life and depending on the severity it'll shorten your life.
I have have depression, schizophrenia, anxiety hddd something like that since I was a teenager I made a mistake I'm actually 39. I'm really kinda fighting reamathoid arthritis for years any part of my body can fail me even my heart. Scary stuff but I holding on.
