This situation actually happens to me a lot where I wake up first and maybe it's some kind of camping thing or a woman I met at the hotel bar right after checking in Diamonds Are Forever style.
She keeps tossing around like my old washing machine doing the last spin cycle, and a blanket got coiled up the wrong way and it would start shaking so bad it would shut itself off and start the spin cycle over again and it's freaking me out.

Your question doesn't coincide with what you wrote about the blankets.
So you probably wake up kinda pissed off from her making your sleep unpleasant.
I don't usually say good morning at home but I did say it to almost everyone at work.
If you want to say good morning you can say good morning. I don’t know it’s I’d say there is an etiquette to saying good morning. I suppose I’d say it’s more of a pleasantry or good manners.
