One, being gay or straight does not matter when you have cancer. It can happen ANYWHERE! Also call it Rectal Cancer, better term and people don't really think of the word 'sex' after the word rectum!

And yes I'd tell people, damn it's deadly for crying out loud!

I would tell them. They would need to know. And, I would do whatever I could to try to get rid of it!

If it is you and you are under 18 I would suggest you tell your parents so they can bring you to the doctor. At your age it is very unlikely it is anal cancer but obviously you are having a problem that needs to be addressed. I would see my doctor if I suspected anything wrong then tell folks after I found out what it was.

Regardless of what type of cancer I wouldn't tell anyone initially until the doctors are for sure about it. I wouldn't want to cause any unnecessary stress or worries.

Btw anal cancer has nothing to do with being gay.
