What causes lighter then usual periods if you are 30? It’s not heavy as it used to be. Can it be hormones or something else?

OMG girl! I'm going through exactly the same and freaking out. I've been to the Doctor a few months ago and complaint to my OBGYN about my light periods did all the hormonal tests and ultra-sound everything came back perfect. My periods remain really light I just booked another appointment a few hours ago to get a second opinion. If you want to discuss any further feel free to DM I feel like not many women experience these sudden light periods.

Please read my full comment. I said as we get *closer* to menopause. Hate to break it to ya honey, but at 30, you're one step closer to menopause. You're no longer a teenager or in your 20s. At any rate, if you're that concerned about it, schedule a doctor's appointment. Take care. :)

Are you on BC pills or an implant? I have a Nexplanon implant and stopped having any periods 7 or 8 years ago.

Either way, it is most likely normal.

Nope I have the copper IUD but it causes heavy periods

I have heard that stress is probably the most frequent culprit, but hormones regulate your entire cycle, and anything that disrupts them can lighten your flow. It has not yet happened to me.

Some can be lighter than usual. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Be glad if they are, they’re easier to deal with. I hate heavy flows.
