Any advice for a scared but excited first-time mum-to-be at 30 weeks?

Im currently 30 weeks pregnant and its only just hit me recently how close I am now. A girl i went to school with posted on fb but she'd given birth, she was 36 weeks so thats only 6 weeks in front of me which is quite terrifying to think about.

One part of me is really excited to meet my snuggly little baby and finally getting hold them, the other part of me just wants it out and to stop kicking me in the ribs ๐Ÿ˜… and the other part of me is terrified about pushing a baby out and then having to be responsible for it.

I've heard all the horror stories from my family and friends. My mum told me to "be greatful for the holes i have whilst I still have them".

I know i have my husband and family to support me but im worried they'll be over baring and ill lose my temper with them.

I've got most things ready but still have no birth plan or seen the ward ill be on. Im thinking about a water birth as a lot of people have recommended it to me but I dont know how to bring it up to my midwife.

Im a low risk pregnancy and have been told my baby is really healthy. Its a good hospital too but all brits know NHS isn't prefect especially all the stuff in the news atm about all the failures maturity wards are making and the lucy letby shit atm too gives me so much fear.
