1 moI ignore weight and look at size and perportions. A fat person is fat, even if they're a midget that weighs about as much as a large dog and less than the average sized woman at 5'6" tall.
I often get very irritated with women that become obsessed with the weight scale instead of using a perfectly goood mirror. And as a man with muscle mass, I get irritated when judged by my weight instead of the fact that I have abs exposed and muscles. Muscle weighs a lot more than fat, so the scale is useless in a lot of cases where someone is in an active process to lose fat.

There is a lot of misconception and I hate to say but a lot of ignorance concerning fitness and what a fit and strong healthy body really looks like vs what people think or would like to see.

I know right. Like I hear the Navy just now finally changed the height/weight/gut size standards to being a non-issue, if you can pass the physical standards tests.
Before when I was in, they didn't give a shit if he can do 200 pushups and run faster than most for 1.5miles in one go... he weighs too much. It's equivlent to holding a genius in the short bus class because they don't look like a typical MENSA member. - 1 mo

So easy to gain pounds (or kilograms)
And so difficult to lose

Ideally I would be 75kg
I need to lose 4kg
But it's not easy
Weight training making me heavier
Which is okay- 1 mo

Opinion Owner1 moI mean building muscle, is heavier than fat

But my weight same
So I don't lose hope

1 moLike you I eat healthy and work out about 4 days per week to stay healthy and fit. I've been at a stable weight for at least 25 years and that's about 10 lbs heavier than the day I graduated university.
But I've never had a problem with my weight. I was a hyperactive kid and an athlete in high school and university. And well, the Army ran my ass ragged for 15 years. So my lifestyle was pretty well established by age 35.
My main focus is maintaining what I've got. I don't want to get bigger or stronger. I just want to keep doing all the stuff I enjoy. And once you reach the fitness level you want to achieve, it's really pretty easy to maintain it. Much easier than losing fat and building muscle.

1 moIf I see some belly fat starting to form, I go harder on my workouts until I lose it. It's for health, confidence, and just being able to move around easily. Does my body weight concern me? Not too much. I care less about the weight than the proportions of my body. Like right now, I'd say I could use another 20 to 30 pounds of muscle, then I'd be pretty happy with my body.
I wish more women had that kind of mentality. Nowadays women feel attacked if you say anything remotely close to the truth. Guys could say something like "Damn you have some man tits now, eh?" and just laugh it off and use it as motivation to work out.
You SHOULD always care about your body. Being fit allows you to do more in your life, have elevated energy levels and likely live longer. Why would you NOT want that unless you're depressed and hate life?10 Reply
u 1 moCurrently, a lot. I’ve been rapidly losing weight since January when I’m not trying to- it’s from a combination of severe sleep deprivation, breastfeeding, barely eating due to stress and burning a lot of energy/calories with chasing after 2 kids under 2 years old. I’m exhausted down to my bones.
I’m hoping to see a dietitian soon and start gaining some weight back.20 Reply- 388 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.

u 1 moNot a ton (pun not intended), especially now since I've changed positions at my current employer and I'm on the operational side again and not stuck at a desk all day. I'm more physically active now, so I'm getting exercise throughout the day. It just so happened that I switched jobs during Lent, so I was already fasting a lot anyway. I'm about ten pounds beneath where I've been for the last few years.
10 Reply Was never a concern, always was a skinny delicate queer. Gaining weight is too hard as you gotta eat regularly but were too lazy 2 cook and too poor to afford 21 meals a week. Id love to hit 180-190 with lean muscle but i doubt it. Currently around 150+/- , i dont really weigh myself
10 ReplyIt concerns me a lot but I never manage to do anything about it. I can't diet like I used to. I'm at a bmi of 24, so borderline overweight. I'm very insecure about it and wish I could be skinny again
10 ReplyMy weight concerns me a great deal.
I'm happy with my body muscles etc, but I don't want to increase my weight an ounce, because it stresses my joints if not now in the future.
10 Reply2.7K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I'm roughly about the same weight I was in highschool I work a physically demanding job and have high metabolism so I don't really gain weight via eating. Because whatever carbs I don't burn my metabolism takes care of.

m 1 moShielded by genetics it seems, I ate all I wanted, pizza, chips you name it for like 40 years, no exercise involved and my weight remained the same.
10 ReplyEnough to where I pay attention to it since I am the heaviest I want to be, but nobody would describe me as fast I am average at most. I just like to stay that way.
10 ReplyMy count is fairly high... but frankly it does not concern me at all. When i commit it will be total. Plus she will benefit from my experience.

1 moMildly. I could possibly stand to lose a pound or three. Actually I'm more concerned about muscle atrophy, which is a common problem of advancing age.
