Well yeah, I work out alone. But I work out in my home gym. I don't want to socialize when I'm working out. And I don't want to wait for equipment. I want to optimize the time I spend working out.
You are lucky to have a home gym, I live in a condo so I don't have the space
I know. Zero travel time. No waiting for equipment. Open all day every day. Private shower. Or just walk out the door and fall into the pool. Sometimes I'll take the water rower or the weights outside on the pool patio and go back and forth from the equipment to the pool.
There’s a gym in my residential complex, and I usually go alone, most of the time there’s no one inside, and I’m used to that. Sport is my antidepressant, my motivation is becoming the best version of myself 👍💯
That's great! I have a gym in my complex to but it is under remediation, I'll have to be patient and just wait until they open in hopefully 2 weeks
Gym work and going to gym is always always best alone , throw in another individual and you add to the complexity , real gym goers are virtually always alone , I've always gone alone.

I go alone. I want to focus on my workout and just listen to music. but by now I know a lot of people in the gym so there's always some chitchat here and there.
how do you even start conversations at the gym?
I don't really start them myself, as I said I go here to work out. But there are always some guys who come and start to talk. Usually just open with some exercise related stuff.
We have a home gym. I only go to the public gym to swim and only during female-only hours.

I don't have a gym membership currently, but when I had it was probably 50:50.
I am thinking of signing up but also I feel like I can workout at home for free and save my money for something else
Depends of course on what type of training you want to do, but at the gym you can use the really huge machines and the sauna.
I just started with a trainer. I would never get it done by myself.
Usually alone. I like working out so it's easier for me to stay motivated.

I'm regularly doing squads I'm also using a round exercise wheel and spin on it.
