What stops you from going to the gym?

People standing there watching you while you workout because they want to use the machine you are on.. I am always worried about having bare feet in shower's there and get paranoid that I will get warts since people are dirty, and I don't like to have to wear flipflops and put wet ones back in my bag.. Watching people not clean equipment and not even seeing spray and wipes around for use.. I rather just work out at home since it does work.. tho it is just getting myself to do it is what sucks..

Literally I was exploring gyms a few weeks ago and make my body train.
The only thing, that stops me are the publicly shared showers. I ain't leaving no gym stinking like a skunk and in order to prevent that i'm not going there. I have some class.
Gyms in USA have at least some gyms with private shower cabins. Where I am, they don't have that!
The only "gyms" with private shower cabins we have are those luxurious tier private gyms, that cost 6x of a monthly membership for just one day!
THAT is what stops me from gymming.
Were I in Thailand and living in a condominium, they have community gyms, so it would not be a problem as I could simply either use their private shower cabins or go to my place and shower there.
Oh dayum. You gave me a boner. Don't worry, I'm not the stalker type... I just pop boners when I see some people. It's normal.
Sinus headache and nausea did it to me today. I just couldn't do it. I feel like I've been shot in the head by a.22lr or something that went through my nasal cavity and just missed my brain stem on the way out.
Slamming beers right now trying to get rid of the pain. I might even say fuck it to tomorrow. I feel like I'm dying right now.
Germs, the general public. I find it awkward to be around a bunch of people panting, grunting and working up a sweat lol. The gym I go to has cleaners available to use on the equipment so that's pretty cool. I go when it's not too busy or I'll exercise at home.

It's expensive and crowded. Instead of paying for a gym membership, I take the money I would have spent on a membership and put it in a savings account to save for a squat rack, bench, and set of plates that I can use myself one day.
I don’t want to pay money for a gym when all the stuff I would want to do for exercise is stuff I can do at home anyway. Plus, I don’t care for the environment in such places, I’ve never felt welcome there.
Anything you do at the gym, you can do at home for free. If I go to the gym it is only to swim, but I also have the local swimming pool for that.
Mostly the time commitment of going after work, which is pretty much the only free time I have, when I'm already tired.
I don't like spending money at the gym and then having to wait for my turn every time, I don't like crowds either. I exercise by staying within my comfort zone
I have 2 jobs. One of them is at night. I don't have the time or energy to go to a gym, I'd rather sleep. Sleep is the most important thing to me right now besides my brother and paying my rent. I have nightmares about needing to go to sleep.
I have been sick for the last two weeks. I am going back tomorrow

Strength train at home with calisthenics:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/_Qwqqyj4jkkYou have the same body I had when I was like 19. Keep the press on. Those pullups get hard once the meat gets packed on.
@D_Bone_Steak that's not me, mate. And yes, I'm lean. But really the pullups get hard when you do them correctly. Most people cheat. And actually for guys with long and thin bones it makes everything more difficult. Don't just assume things are easy for guys cause they're lean!
Although I do do weighted pullups so know just a bit of extra weight makes them exponentially more difficult.
I'm just speaking from being the scrawny guy to being thicker with muscle, and now... let's just say I opted for the pulldown machine so I can feel like my old self. Body weight was like a 90-lb jump for me. It just happened too fast, and now I'd be lucky to squeeze out 10 reps. 112lbs body is so much different than my now 220lbs body. ... that's all I was trying to say. The struggle is real.
Respect indeed... not easy for everybody.
I have my own equipment at home. No need to go to a gym.
I have a lot of studies, but still I manage to find some time for sports, at least twice a week, although it is very difficult
I work a hard labor job so I'm already basically in the gym for 8 hours a day I do more physically during a workday then I ever could in a gym.
The fact that I don't want to. I work out at home. My gym is open 24 hrs. A day and has no waiting at any machine.
I don't see a reason. Germs and creeps? no thanks.
Shaving my armpits! I hate wearing halfsleeves to the gym
Unique answer 😂
so easy to get a cold/virus there. I avoid it.
Yes avoid germs too!
A guy friend of mine introduced me info agonistic armwrestling and i am loving It. I currently train specific movsments for armwrestling in the Gym using weights
The price, so i use my own body for lifting weights, squats, pushups n more!
Ughhh oggling perverts! which is why i work out at home.
The image you added to your question. That & guys staring while I work out is what bothers & stops me from going to the gym.
We do gym at school. So we already go to the gym kinda.
Nothing, really. I enjoy going to the gym too. Especially early in the morning.
Family drama. My in-laws just bought the gym we used to go to...
You’re doing it right. Really nice legs and butt. Small waist too good job.
Not wanting to pay £30, I said that for my equipment
Being a mother. I have no time alone or energy. Aside from that I'm not interested in going to the gym anymore. Been fit. Been thin. Worked out 5-7 days a week already. IDGAF anymore.
The gym/exercise room I have in my basement.
an earthquake would i guess 🤷♀️
Nice!
It looks like you go to the gym, you look gorgeous and fit.
I've been going to the gym everyday
Nothing... I was there 30 minutes ago !!!

Leg blood clot
@exitseven my last test was done in August. I would assume it’s still there but there’s no swelling at all or on my ankle and I don’t feel any pain so maybe it’s gone or maybe it will leave soon
@exitseven I will, but I lost my insurance. I can’t afford it right now to pay the full out of pocket cost. I have to pay my very expensive property taxes. I’ll have to do it soon when it hits one year and that’s three months to go.
@exitseven I know everybody else gets help except the white man white privileges don’t exist for us that’s only if you’re good looking than the girl will give you a free milkshake or something like when I was younger
@exitseven I had complained about my milkshake and she argued with me that she can’t remake it or something then I guess I looked disappointed and then she said Aww look at those blue eyes and gave me another one anyway I always remembered that
I don't need a gym
Finding a good time to go is hard.
Crowds, so I prefer to go when it's quiet.
