Has anyone experienced iron staining after IV iron infusion?

I have a huge stain on my arm after an IV iron infusion and I believe it was due to medical negligence. If you've experienced the same how long did it take for the stain to fade? I was reading online it can take 3-6 months or even 12 months, in some cases is permanent.

I'm starting to consider suing the Nurse that administered the treatment.

I read about kimchi and miso soup in a 500 page textbook. One removes radiation and the other removes toxic metals from your body. I forget which one is which but I believe kimchi is the one that removes toxic metals when you eat it. I also consume turkeys tail mushrooms to clear up skin conditions. I am not a doctor, I just know through trial and error that turkeys tail mushrooms works for my skin condition.

This is not a skin condition dear. I have iron deficiency and need to get IV iron infusions once in a while the stain is due to the cannula not being properly inserted and because the iron solution is dark it stained under my skin.

If it's not hard and massively swollen it's just a small hematoma and will disappear in less than two weeks. Happens often by setting venflons.
If it's hard, dark and 2-3 cm swollen, it's likely the person who set the IV turned your vain in grind meat and you need a pressure bandage.

I'm all for suing incompetent healthcare providers, especially if you paid for the treatment. Definitely sue them if you lose your job, and also sue your employer for wrongful termination.

You mean the teeth? Not me but I've seen it in kids who had to take extra iron.

Iron is always bc of anemia crazy. You said “staining”. It does stain the teeth.

Staying on your arm is due to the IV missing the vein initially, or being put in in a way that causes bruising. It's not due to the iron.

I tried to sue the nurse or anybody else, and you were going to get laughed at and probably never seen at that clinic again. This kind of thing happens relatively frequently, and I've had it happen multiple times. It's not a big deal. It will fade. You've not been terribly injured. Stop being a three-year-old.

It's easy for you to say that and make fun of the situation but I have a job where my grooming needs to be impeccable and that means no bruising, cold sores, visible tattoos, rashes, wounds, burns, etc etc. Having a permanent stain could mean losing my job and potentially my whole career. I wouldn't be making drama unnecessarily. And no I cannot wear long sleeves or conceal it with makeup.

It's gonna go away on its own. It's not permanent. Put some makeup over it in the meantime. You can conceal it with the same kind of makeup that seems to cover tattoos. I don't know what you do that you would lose your job and your career, but you can't be that important.
