Very short clip describing Scromiting (Screaming accompanied by severe vomiting) 🤮. It causes, symptoms, and treatment in the emergency room because this is a very serious medical condition.

It's simply a portmanteau of the two words - screaming and vomiting.

Just as newscasters use the term "horrific"- horrible and terrific- for disastrous events (just don't ask me what would be terrific about them).

It's happened for ever..
In a very distant past life , more than 40 years ago , I had a couple of years on weed / South African black hash / gods knows what else..


The person will often talk / laugh / .. basically loose control of lung function and vomit , hopefully they make it outside..

With stronger and stronger weed ( although we smoked the best gear ) but they now produce larger heads , mix some black hash , water pipes carry many unhealthy elements..

And sure , in worst cases they may have trouble breathing and are gasping for air , often while trying to talk , but you'd want to get to emergency quickly.

In our case , back then , long ago , the person would come back in and have another cone , contrary to popular belief , it's a dangerous habit to be involved with.

Really , better to have some acid , or an ekkie for a festival.


Thankfully , my life is opposite to my surfer life and has been for 40 years plus , was easy to give up , plus makes people phycotic.

I never heard of that. When I was young, my friends and I smoked LOTS of weed, as well as hash and hash oil. People might get the giggles or even fall asleep. The worse I ever got was an occasional headache.

So I wonder if this "scromiting" is a new scare tactic - a spin on the old "scared straight" videos.

That's because back then it didn't have THC in it.
The percentage of THC has recently risen to 16% from 4% in marijuana.

It's probably all of that THC causing the screaming 😱 vomiting. 🤮

An no mention of this scromiting phenomenon in all of history until now. I am very skeptical.

@sage2021 @Lliam It is caused by the chronic use of pot. People are smoking every single day, sometimes more than once a day for weeks at a time. They start to exhibit symptoms but keep smoking and it only gets worse. People did not use it so heavily in the 60s and 70s.

I quit in 2000 but I've met lots of pot heads since. Those people have been smoking the new stuff, dabbing, etc. constantly for years.

Marijuana and hashish have been common for thousands of years.

Again, it sounds like "scared straight" propaganda to frighten kids. Reefer Madness tried that in the 1930s.

It's funny that marijuana research and chronic smokers never mentioned it.
