It has been nearly a year since I originally injured my left leg's Adductor, and it still hurts like mad. I have trouble practicing my basic karate kicks with the left leg due to pain, but I can still practice the right leg kicks even though that also hurts the planted leg's adductor. I found i can still get my push kick with both legs up to sternum level with a decent level of power, but that's disappointing, because I should be able to get my heel up to chin level with KO power if not for the injury.
Worse is trying a left Oblique kick or a left cross-heel stomp kick. The two kicks are similar, but not exactly the same. Either kick puts insane pressure on the Adductor of the active leg, so I find I simply can't practice the left leg version of the kick right now. If I needed that kick in a self-defense situation, I'd probably be SCREWED right about now.
I realize this isn't a medical website, but the medical AI said this should have only taken a few months to heal up. It has been close to a year already. There has been much progress, but it's a LONG way from being 100%.

did you go to an actual doctor? what did they say about it?
I've been to an actual doctor, but they didn't even treat the leg problem in favor of treating the several chronic illnesses I have. It's complicated. It's like treating a flesh wound when you're having a heart attack.
I've also torn something in my right shoulder about a month ago too, so I'm falling apart at the freaking seams. It's because I help my mother on her ridiculous pig farm
is that because you keep challenging every Master at every dojo in your town?
Uh, no. I've never challenged ANYONE at any martial arts school. I beat them at full contact spars at the instructors discretion, or I beat the Gracie clowns at their own game in live rolls.
I'm not dumb enough to challenge Mark Meyers (Then 4th degree black belt, now 7th Degree) to a karate spar in his prime, because I actually did spar him 3 times from 1998 through 2000, at his own discretion, for each of my last 3 kyu promotions, and he still toyed with me in each of those three spars. He was 60 lbs bigger than me at the time and solid muscle, so maybe that has something to do with it.
As for Raphael Elwanger (then 5th degree black belt) at Gracie United, he'd beat me at a "grappling only" roll, starting from kneeling position, but he'd never beat me in a fight with striking allowed starting from standing position, and Mark Meyers would have made short work of him.
so... that's why you're not healing?
you keep beating all these legends... left and right
let the guns take a break, dude...
I've never claimed to beat a real Master level Martial Artist at anything. 1st through third degree black belts are lower belt ranks. 4th through 6th are middle degrees of black belt. "Master" starts at 7th and 8th degree, and "Grand Master" is 9th and 10th degree.
I've never beaten a prime 4th degree black belt at anything, nor did I ever claim to do that.
Have you seen your GP about it?
