Grade 3 adductor strain still painful after a year—how long to fully heal?

It has been nearly a year since I originally injured my left leg's Adductor, and it still hurts like mad. I have trouble practicing my basic karate kicks with the left leg due to pain, but I can still practice the right leg kicks even though that also hurts the planted leg's adductor. I found i can still get my push kick with both legs up to sternum level with a decent level of power, but that's disappointing, because I should be able to get my heel up to chin level with KO power if not for the injury.

Worse is trying a left Oblique kick or a left cross-heel stomp kick. The two kicks are similar, but not exactly the same. Either kick puts insane pressure on the Adductor of the active leg, so I find I simply can't practice the left leg version of the kick right now. If I needed that kick in a self-defense situation, I'd probably be SCREWED right about now.

I realize this isn't a medical website, but the medical AI said this should have only taken a few months to heal up. It has been close to a year already. There has been much progress, but it's a LONG way from being 100%.
