It happens almost every time I get sick. My throat gets scratchy like hell, my throat always feels dry no matter how much water I drink, and then comes the part you see in the video... the phlegm. The sticky phlegm at the back of my throat.
I cough a lot and a lot of phlegm comes out. Sometimes the phlegm is yellow, other times brown, other times green, other times red, etc.
But there's always the phlegm stuck at the back of the throat that I've had to use tweezers for like the person in the video.
Unfortunately the phlegm has a taste. It tastes really salty but in the worst way possible.
I'm wondering if anyone else here struggles with this.
Some tips that help are spicy food, hot drinks, ginger and lemon, cough drops, etc. Nowhere near enough but better than nothing.

I have (what amounts to) permanent phlegm.
"Permanent?" Wow. Sorry to hear. That must suck so hard. It sucks when I get sick I can't imagine feeling like this all the time. For your age though I assume it makes more sense since people your age tend to get sick more often than people my age.
Genetic. I never had a deep, resonant voice on account of that.
Re: getting sick. My resistance is generally very high. For most others, they get "a bug", it knocks them flat for 3-4 days, and then they are fine. For me, it just makes me feel crappy for a month while my body fights it off.
Ir you can handle it, break of a piece of a garlic clove and place it between your molars. Do not chew it. Just let the garlic juice flow down your throat. Repeat as necessary.
That sounds pretty interesting. I am definitely willing to try it out. Doesn't sound exactly pleasant but neither does being sick with all that phlegm in my throat.
It's a sound strategy to avoid people carrying flu from getting too close to you, among others.
Phlegm, yes , but not that bad
I see. It does seem whenever I get sick I get more sick than the average person. I am somewhat older than you but not by that much.
