I feel like that’s completely irresponsible, because what happens if for whatever reason, she doesn’t have you or someone else to remind her? This isn’t aspirin, it’s medication she relies on daily, and should absolutely be on top of. In any case, there’s things so should and could do, like an alarm on her phone, she can literally set it up to remind her every day. She can have one of those pill cases that have all the weekdays, sit it someplace visible that she inevitably sees every day, like by the sink in the bathroom, on her nightstand, etc. But relying on you for this has to stop, it just shows a just lack of maturity and responsibility that is inappropriate for an adult relationship.

That could be a good part of why you aren’t really phased by your gf’s behavior. However, medication is something she should absolutely be on top of and it’s irresponsible otherwise. Don’t get me wrong, my fiancé is privy to forgetting things as well, I sometimes have to remind him about his wallet. But I don’t need to tell him everyday to eat some food, or take his vitamins, or brush his teeth, these are just things that as an adult we should all be responsible for.

I think it depends on why she forgets, but you shouldn’t have to carry the responsibility for her medication indefinitely. It’s understandable to remind your partner occasionally, especially if she’s struggling, but she should also take responsibility for her own health. You can support her without becoming her caretaker. Maybe talk to her about why she keeps forgetting and find a solution together, like setting alarms or using a pill organizer. A relationship should be a partnership, not a situation where one person has to manage the other’s responsibilities all the time.

Totally depends on *why* she’s forgetting. If it’s ADHD, depression, anxiety, or side effects, forgetfulness is common, not a red flag. It only becomes one if she doesn’t care about managing it.
