Is it normal to feel physically exhausted when I'm carrying my 17 month-old boy?

Even though my 17 month-old toddler can already walk, when he's tired or only wants to be comfort by me, he extends his arms. He still likes being held over my shoulders in an upright position and walked around. My shoulders and arms get tired at some point.

He's 11.800 kilos and 86 cm by now (he's already half of my height; I'm 5'7 and 140 Ibs) and can feel like lifting dead weight. I was told his minimum and shortest height would be 180 cm as an adult but will likely be taller than that. He's continues adding more weight each month. Is it normal to feel physical exhaustating in my body, esp my arms and shoulders? At some point (when I feel I can't continue carrying him for too long), I've lplaced him on the mat with his toys or let him continue walking around the room.

Then he wants to sleep in bed with me and will only be in his crib once he's totally alseep. Now it feels heavy whenever I transfer him to his crib.
