Techniques for losing some serious weight?
Best Wishes! :)
I've actually lost 65 pounds of fat going back to January of last year. You have to work very hard at the beginning and see how progress is made so you won't dare set yourself back.
Here are some tips of what you should do IMMEDIATELY to help you get into the habit of living healthier.
Tip #1. Drink only water. Liquid calories are better spent on meals.
Tip #2. Avoid foods that contain any of the following ingredients.: High fructose corn syrup, Enriched wheat flour, and Hydrogenated Oil.
Follow those two steps and your diet is fine. Make sure to read labels. If you see any of those ingredients, don't eat it. How simple is that!?
Tip #3. Do cardio for 2-5 hours per day.Nothing melts away fat like intense cardio. If you don't have several hours, make your workouts more intense. An M-100
set burns more calories than 30 minutes of jogging. So the more intense and involved your workout is, the higher your heart-rate will be and the more calories you will burn. Think of running vs walking. You can walk for 10 miles and still not burn the same amount of calories as someone who ran for 3 miles. I happened to pick up basketball at the local gym, so running around for a few hours was nothing for me.
Tip #4. Work out at night. This works out the best if you don't pig out afterwards(just a lean protein source is fine). Embrace the concept of afterburn. After every intense workout, your body continues to burn calories well after you stop. When you sleep for 8 hours without eating anything afterward, you're literally gonna get ripped overnight. Think of afterburn like spinning a wheel. If you spin the wheel harder, it's going to not only have better RPM, it's going to keep spinning much longer than if you were to give it a half-hearted flick. A weak workout does not give you that good RPM and it definitely slows down much faster. So always go HARD.
Tip #5. Don't ignore the other 4 tips, and you will lose weight and KEEP IT OFF.
Wow. Thinking back I've never done well with running even as a little skinny twig of a kid so this certainly isn't something I'm fond of thinking about. My days are so busy so I rarely have 5 hours of free time before I try to get my at least 8 hrs then off to school and work, repeating the process. But I guess I'll just have to do as much as I can.
Best Wishes! :)
Weight loss is all about caloric deficit at the end of the day. For example, if you find that you normally eat 3000 calories per day and you are gaining weight overtime, it means you have a caloric surplus so your body stores the surplus of calories as fat.
So if you find that you maintain your existing weight eating 2000 calories per day, that is basically how many calories your body burns on a typical day just by doing what you normally do every day.
Your goal is a caloric deficit. So your body must burn more calories than you eat. You can exercise more and maintain the same diet. Or you can just eat less calories. Or the best of both worlds, you can start exercising and eating less.
alright I am in the same boat as you .. ya it sucks! so lets do something pronto... you no how people say I'm gunna eat this and drink this today... I start my diet tomorrow.. diets don't work period .. lets start eating healthy make it a life style... so why start tomorrow when you can start now.. start as soon as possible when you see those skinny bitches everywhere look at them and think ima loook better... so what I did find a friend who you can start working out with sign up at the gym or if you want get a trainer to start you off. I had a trainer over the summer and I lose 20 pounds yay.. but I am not satisfied.. So I drink ginger and lemon tea every morning before any meal, and I eat oat meal or cereals high in fiber!.. I take vitamins b12, for energy through out the day.. and I also have to drink my green tea in the middle of day helps boost your metabolism.. and here's one thing, when start working out, if your a morning person yay you go work out in the morning helps boost your metabolism.. burn more fat! Just have a lot of energy, and one more thing always think weight loss to me its like I have to brainwash my self(psycho ) but it works when you walk, walk fast.. if you really push yourself you can do it! good luck!
Yay good! Ya and for some reason when I take b12 and since I started drinking my teas I get hot randomly... My friends think I am going through menapose .. Lol I also signed up at a 24 hour gym so when I am bored I can go in at any time like right now due to my insomnia ... thanks girl!
I'll tell you what - I've been struggling with my weight for years, and I've learned two things. One, it's really freaking stressful, and difficult to lose. Two, no one knows a f*cking thing about nutrition. Really, there is just no one-size-fits-all weight loss plan. Have you done any experimenting? I've found that it's easier than it seems once you get educated. Feel free to message me, I've been (and still am) in your shoes, and I'm happy to help support you and give you ideas.
Thanks. I feel like it's hard to go at it alone. It's tough eating healthy stuff or just cutting down then seeing skinnier girls eatting what they please ,whenever. I don't really have much money to experiment with things like food or pills or whatever. Not sure where to even start anymore.
Best wishes! :)

Diet and exercise are of course necessary. You have to burn more calories every day than you eat. But I have learned you don't have to start off on a crazy exercise and diet regimen. Start slowly by walking everyday and ask your doctor to reccomend a nutritionist who can give you a meal plan.
If you are willing to stick to it for two weeks, you will see results and that progress will make you want to get even healthier. Right now I am in the middle of losing weight and after a few weeks others saw that I was losing and that made me even work harder at it. The same will happen to you.
The hard part is the first 2 weeks because you're getting used to something that's new and different. However, as someone who has lost almost 90lbs, it's definitely doable.
At this point, you're pretty well addicted to sweet and fatty foods. Changing too much at once is a recipe for failure, so start with small things in the beginning -
Buy skim milk
Get some non sugary flavorings for water so you'll be inclined to drink more
Start making really good tasty meals at home - Miso Soup is great - very easy to make
Make this as well - it's awesome
Good books -
The Meditteranean Diet
The Paleo Diet
Fit for Life
Message me your actual weight and I'll send you some advice plus I can send you an ebook on the diet that's worked best for me.
It would also help to know how much control you have over your food. I'm guessing someone prepares a lot of it for you?
water fast.
