if you've never dieted before, it's a bad idea. the trouble with diets is that whilst you're on them, your body goes into famine mode and when you go back to eating like how you were before the diet, you'll put so much weight on because your body doesn't know when the next 'famine' will come.

Also, in the future when you go on diets, you'll lose weight at a slower and slower pace every time and put it on again quicker and quicker, and your weight will yo-yo for the rest of your life. This is what my father told me when I asked him about his dieting past, and he added that if he had his time again, he would never diet, and he regrets dieting big time.

Best way is to exercise, try to do little things like replace cola with water and change some of the types of foods you eat. Read food labels to see how many calories there are and mentally keep track of just how many you're taking in each day. And exercise some more, really exercise is the best way.

Yes, it works, you have a support group as well as a defined plan and even packaged foods with measured calories. They build in some flexibility and have achievable goals.

It's worked for everyone I know that honesty didn't cheat on the side!

If you really follow the program and don't BS your way around the points, count the points for every single thing you eat, it totally works. The program is built around eating healthy and exercising (the no brainers of losing weight). It's hard work though. And it takes self control to say that you're only going to have one cookie or you don't get dessert tonight because you don't have the points. But it works if you're willing to do the work.

I've known older people to do it but they didn't see much results. I think your best bet is to spend that money on a decent gym membership/healthy food and do it the right way. If you diet and exercise on your own after researching what to do then you'll definitely get the best results that will stay.

no iv tried that and it hasn't worked all I do is gain

Because you're doing it wrong. What do you usually do when you do that? You have to eat small portions of healthy food. If you're working out and not feeling it then you aren't working out right.

If you're gaining weight when you diet then you don't know how to workout and eat healthy...

no all I eat is fruit and salad I'm vegetarian so I don't eat heavy peroid. I work out 3 times a week for 45 min

Doing what? And 3 times a week isn't all that great. You need to move it up to at least 5 of intense workouts. Also, what kind of salads? A lot of different dressings are loaded with fat.

i use light ranch, and just salad lettus and cucumbers. push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, and I run a minle

Yes! The points system REALLY works. It's great. If you're going to go on a diet and really plan to stay on it, it's a great way to go. It really worked for me.

I've heard people have and I know tha some do lose weight..but I think you are better off eating right and working out.
