Weird Tingling In Face?

Okay, so the right side of my face is tingling and feels hot, especially around my ear, but it's not hot to touch. It doesn't hurt, just feels weird. After a few minutes it will then feel really cold, but again, not noticeable by touch. After a few more minutes it will go away. I normally get this once or twice a day and have been for the past week or so. Does anyone know what this might be?

Have you seen a dentist lately? Cavities, tooth pulled, do hot / cold drinks hurt your teeth? Are you cutting wisdom teeth, do you sleep on your stomach against your arms or shoulders? It is probably nothing but look seriously at any dental problems then rule that out. If you have other symptoms like headaches, twitching, itching, sores, swelling then tell someone and try to see if you need a doctor.

Otherwise, it sounds like your jaw muscle, just circulation increase creating heat, absence of the increase leaving it cool. The numbness can be swelling against the nerves in muscular tissues, see if the glands next to your windpipe under your chin feel hard like golf balls, if so...see a doctor. You should be fine though, you might have an infection.

SEE A DOCTOR! There can be many issues here ranging from a mild condition such as teeth problems to acute dangers such as stroke (unlikely) to chronic neurology problems such as multiple sclerosis. Given you age, it is probably NOT a big medical issue, but see a doctor.

(If you ever have tingling in your face accompanied by numbness on one side of your body, call 911. Those are classic stroke signs. Again pretty unlikely at your age.)
