Can you get rid of scars?

Basically I have a few scars (self inflicted from years ago) on the top of my arm.

Is there any way of getting rid of them or making them less visual? Its just for summer and when I play sport or swim I get a bit paranoid about them.

have you tried lemon juice? it's supposed to whiten skin over time so I think it's worth trying it. also massage were your scar is to break any scar tissue. when you put lemon juice on your skin it may sting and itch but give it time if you can bear it and then wash it off. try doing it 2-3 times a day until you see some results. :)

well it depends on your skin-tone... but I put lemon juice on my face and it definitely faded my freckles :) I hope it works!

scar lotions can help but I've used it and am using it now and it doesn't look like it helps much but scar patches are supposed to help a lot like these link

try a silicone scar cream like "Mederma" or "Scar Zone." There are also these things called silicone sheets which are supposed to very very effective.

Rub coconut oil on it
