...how strong do you think your immune system is in comparison to others?
Why do you think your immune system is as weak or strong as it is?
When you get sick with a cold, generally the sicker you are, the more aggressive your immune system is reacting. It's your immune system that causes most of the symptoms of being sick, not so much the virus in normal cases. People who get only mildly sick usually have a weaker immune system that doesn't react as violently to a pathogen. Some people don't have much of a reaction at all or just a very weak reaction to a virus and are then just carriers who can infect other people. On the other end of the spectrum you get people who's immune system kills them. Take for instance the swine flu. Healthy young people who die from that usually die from their own super aggressive immune systems. Look up "cytokine storm".
9, or even 10, why? I'm not sure, but I'm
literally never sick, and those rare occasions
where I somehow do catch some kind of
disease, I'm only sick for a day, or two at max.
but that also means, when everyone else get sick, I'm
usually the only one left to take care of them.. ^-^

I have a super strong immune system. I get it from my mom. I rarely get sick, and when I do, it's not usually for very long, and it's not usually very severe. My digestion is kind of crummy, though, so I do get frequent stomch aches. Or at least I used to until I started being more careful about what I ate. Although just getting older has probably helped too.
I'm also a really fast healer when it comes to physical injuries. I don't bruise easily, and I have a fairly high pain tolerance. I guess you could say I'm strong. :-)
Thanks mom, haha
good immune system, just sick in the mind...

about 8 because I get sick maybe 1-2 times a year and it will just be either a cold or a flu like thing and it will only last 2-5 days, recently I got pretty sick but that was to do with eating foods I was intolerant of so it isn't exactly to do with my immune system. I think my immune system works well because I don't take medication often, I don't obsess over bacteria/ dirt obviously I am clean but I don't carry hand sanitiser or anything, it is an attitude thing if I don't want to be sick most of them time I don't get sick.
When I drink behind people..I usually get sick even if they are family..so I don't do that anymore.
When I get a cold my nose constantly needs to be blown but besides that they are pretty mild.
I seldom get sick but do think there might be something wrong with me O.o
Joking...a little
But I'm a horse..my colds come and go with little hitches however...I have seen an increase in damage when I do get colds resulting from bacterial causes * drinking behind someone caused a sore throat for two solid weeks and then some, and a touching of a railing last year caused a severe week*
Tbh I don't understand but I'm fine now..I guess a breach in the hull but back to being a power house now
I voted 3-4 out of 10. I Voted this because I get a cold and cough at least 3 times a year. When I had chicken pox I had it for 4 weeks...which is much longer than average. When I did a volunteer vacation in Uganda I accidently brushed my teeth with the tap water...and I got a really gross gum infection...whilst my roommate drank the same dirty water by accident and nothing happened to her. Whenever I bruise the bruise lasts for ever, and I have this problem where my capillaries pop randomly. So those are just a few examples...I absolutely hate it.
about a 9...i hardly ever get sick
ve never had a headache
i've never had any kind of strain, joint or muscle injury even though I do impact sports like running. my body is a very tough machine.
I very rarely ever get sick. I really don't know what the secret is but, I get 8 hour's of sleep every night. I take my vitamin's like a good girl LOL! I try to eat a well balanced diet. Get in the sunshine for alittle while everyday.for vitamin D. Sound's boring but it work's for me.
I used to only get sick once a winter. I would be in bed for about 2 weeks throwing up anything I ate and having a fever of at least 103-104 or more. That stopped about 5 years ago and since then I have been sick maybe 3 or 4 times. I haven't been sick in about a year and a half. Compared to others, very strong as I see it.
7-8 out of 10. I rarely get sick. If I do it's a cold that lasts for a week and that's all I'll have all year. But like that one Nickelback song, except relating to my immune system and not a girl, "Somethin has gotta go wrong because everything is feels so damn good."
I voted 9-10 out of 10. I usually only get sick 1-2 times a year. And even then it's not that bad. This year I was sick for a few hours, and then I had a nap, woke up and was fine! Maybe once every other year I get pretty sick, and then it doesn't last as long as other people.
Most people I know get sick 3-6 times a year.
When I feel a cold coming on, I eat lots of fruits and veggies and drink lots of water, it seems to keep the colds/flu at bay :)
I had to say 9-10... but I'm an odd exception. If anything I would be off this chart. I rarely get sick, and my immune system is ALWAYS over active due to autoimmunity issues. So my bloodstream always has extra of every kind of immune cell floating around.

I get sick far to often. Always colds. I usually get about 3-5 a year. The problem is I have non allergic rhinitis so basically I'm very susceptible to anything involving the sinuses, even with regular medication.
As far as stuff like the flu, it almost never happens. 9/10 times I'm sick its a cold or sinus infection.
My immune system is ridiculous. My family consists of six people (mom, dad, me, and three siblings) and my dad and I have the strongest immune systems and my mom and sister have the weakest. My two brothers are normal, I think. If someone gets sick it's always my mom or sister, then my brothers catch it and then it's just my dad and I healthy lol. But if either my dad or I get sick, then EVERYONE gets sick :) I get sick about once every three years or so.
I don't get sick very often. Maybe once or twice a year. I think it's interesting that a lot of people put 7-8, including me. I wonder if we're just average.
It's easily a 12 because I am a super human.
I haven't had a flu since 2009. Before that probably 2007.
I think all the alcohol in my system kills any germs trying to infest my body.
I'd say a solid 10. I never get sick. I can count the times I have gotten sick in the past four years on one hand. The only sickness I tend to suffer from is the common cold. Other than that, I have no serious health issues and even when a lot of people are sick, somehow I manage to not get sick too.
I'm not sure why my immune system is so strong; I've always been a pretty healthy person.
Definitely a 9-10. I never get sick, and even when I somehow manage to find a way to, I get over it in no time flat. I don't even eat healthy though. All I eat is stuff that's bad for me, and yet somehow I'm still healthy.
I said 3-4 because I haven't thrown up or anything since I was 5, but last year I had strep throat over 20 times, yeah I just got my tonsils out... so much pain! So my immune system sucks, that I know of.
3-4 out of 10. 2/3 of my life I'm sick. I usually have breathing complications (even though I never smoked). This school year I've been sick about 8 times and 3 of them are because of Bronchtis, one - Pneumonia. :I
I work in the nursing field so mine is pretty tough
10 I have not been sick in years. I have no clue how I avoid getting sick so often, I spend a lot of time in public places like school, the gym, and the trolly. I think I'm just lucky
I'm probably like a 7. I've only ever gotten very sick once (it was strep) and other than that it's just common colds a few times a year, but nothing that I can't push through
I chose 1-2 because my white cell, neutrophil and platelet counts are low, in addition to my immune system trying to destroy what it's supposed to be protecting.
because I work out and for somereason, heal a lot faster than others and never really get ill, even when around those with viruses, I don't end up with it.
I would say 8-9 my whole family can get sick and I won't get it. The most I every got sick is I had a sinus infection due to my allergies a few months back. I don't get sick very often.
well I tend to fall sick at random times..
like I had malaria on my birthday..about 2 weeks ago
and I often have sore throats, colds, coughs, headaches and stomachaches..
thats y
I rarely get sick. If I do it lasts like 2-3 days.. I've only been sick like once last year..and prior to that I don't think I got sick in 2010 :3
I'm never sick as in vomiting or tummy bugs but I am quite susceptible to getting brief colds throughout the year so I put 3-4.
i rarely ever get ill, but when I'm ill I usually end up in hospital with it. I guess I'm an all or nothing kinda guy.
I voted a because I have been sick for 7 years with chronic lyme and my body has to work full time fighting that.
I almost never get sick once a year if that so lets home now that I said this I don't get sick lol
Most of my family get sick apart from me. in order of sickness it'd be my bro with the weakest then my mum then my dad then ME.
4(sometimes) since my city has Horrible air pollution and lots of pollen and such.
Very low, almost zippo. M.S. What are you gonna do?
I honest to God can't remember the last time I got sick
Terrible... I get sick all the time. In fact, I am sneezing as I type this. Not kidding.
I have a pretty awesome immune system so I'd say 7-8.
I last got sick in 2006..and before that I hadn't gotten sick since 2001..thus I do think I have a very strong immune system.
I did 7-8 because I can't remember the last time I got sick but I have really bad allergies
I almost never get sick and when I do I'm only sick for a day or so
I rarely get sick but maybe once every three years I will get something that will lay me out for about 3 weeks.
I have multiple autoimmune diseases and get sick often so not that great of an immune system :/
Awww :/ I hope your not and thank you, I've learned to live and deal with it as if I have a normal life.
Last time I had a sick day was about 8 years ago. 10/10
Me getting sick is like maybe 2 or 3 times out of a year.
id say mines a 4. I get sick a lot but I'm so used to it, it doesn't bother me anymore and it doesn't stop me from doing anything
I have a great immune system.. and I rarely if ever get sick..
I haven't been sick since 2001.
Get sick once a year, always a sinus infection.
I haven't gotten sick in couple years.
I can't remember the last time I was sick
i almost never get sick. maybe once a year.
I'd say 7-8. Togepi!
10. I never get sick
I never get sick..
