Girls want their dads to lose weight before their wedding. Selfish?

Why do some girls want their dads to lose weight for their wedding day? Why does that matter if her dad is a little overweight?

It is kind selfish. I mean it's your family, people can't really expect their family to be models. I've heard of some girls doing that, telling a friend they can't be in their bridal party because they are fat and won't look good in the photos. That's incredibly insensitive. I would hope that the friendship is more important than how someone looks in a photo.

It's like asking why a girl would want her bridesmaids and maid of honor to lose weight if they're fat.

Why would you care? You aren't old enough to be a father and I bet you're getting this from one person, because we all know this is an epidemic world-wide

If I had a daughter and she told me that I'd eat a chocolate doughnut right in front of her...then I'd pick my nose and shave my head for added effect.

If I was paying for the wedding I'd then tell her that I will now hire Elvis to marry them and I'm hiring a clown instead of a DJ.

If they want their dad to lose weight, only because of the wedding, then yes it is very selfish, as well as extremely shallow. If they just want their dad to lose weight to be healthier than it is not.

I want my dad to loose weight. It's not selfish , unless he enjoys being fat. And I think it's a good idea if you try to help your dad too. Cause then he can have a better life too!
