Not to mention then American women have won more gold medals compared to American men. Are people gonna start thinking of U.S. men as second class citizens?

The American women did very well. That's for sure, but there's a reason why men and women do not compete in most sports. Are there any world records where the women did better than the men? Is Missy Franklin going to beat Phelps? Is the US female basketball team going to beat the US male basketball team? I mean, the women's 100m world record holder wouldn't have made it to the finals against the men? It's all apples and oranges. I think sports are more competitive with men.

Before anyone says something like I'm sexist, I'm just answering the guy's question. I rooted for the women just as much as the men.

Though, I have to say, when it comes to something like gymnastics, women seem to have it quite handily.

I never said men were inferior. I just thought it was a funny answer. I don't think men these days have anything to feel bad about. Someone has to win the medals in the men's division, it is just that it is not someone from the country you are rooting for. In other words men are still winning tons of medals.
