How did you discover it was a trapped nerve?
How did you overcome it? Or what advice have you been given?
Do you mean like a pinched nerve?
My brother had one in his neck once, and he had to wear a neck brace for a while and take it easy and just kind of wait for things to settle themselves out.
I don't think you can really know for sure or not if you have one, unless you go to the doctor... they're supposed to be really painful though...
I pinched my ulnar nerve weightlifting and made it worse by leaning on my elbow. I improved the problem with physical therapy to regenerate the damage, but I still need a minor operation if I'm to actually lift again.
My left Ulna supposedly got pinched before. It was extremely painful, and I actually lost a good bit of muscle mass in my left hand. Fortunately, it ended up fixing itself so I didn't have to get surgery.

I had a pinched nerve in my arm once and had to get some bones pushed back into place and then some kind of electric waves on it. I'd start by going to the doctor...
like a pinched nerve?
ok...well I don't know whether to take that as a yes or a no, but I had a pinched nerve in my elbow two years ago, I coudln't move my right arm/hand and I had to go get EMG testing done, which confirmed that the nerve was pinched. It depends on where it is pinched though, I ended up having to wear an arm brace for around 3 months until it got better and healed
