First you have to be able to define beauty. During the Victorian era the fatter a woman was, the more attractive and beautiful she was considered to be. Now we have magazines, clothing and makeup manufacturers defining what beauty is. So when people look at themselves they only see deficiencies instead of an inherent beauty that is always there. It's not shallow to want to be beautiful but you also have to decide what beauty means to you. Once you can look at yourself and believe your beautiful because you think you are instead of because the opinions and ideas of the world around you, then you will no longer need to worry about how others view you. I once saw a woman that had one side of her face horribly scarred but there was still something about her that I found incredibly attractive. It wasn't until years later that I understood that it was because she thought she was beautiful and that type of inner beauty truly did show through.

You mean 'first nose', don't you? Do people really treat you better, or do guys in the dating scene just play up to you more?
Usually people don't relate to each other by their looks, but by whether they have good character, or not, and looks don't help in that evaluation. Judging by looks is only in clubs and pick-up bars and the like.
The question here really is that , who do you want to please ? do you want a image in front of EVERYONE , is there someone special or do you want someone to love you for yourself ? I do believe that any sort of artifical "improvement" creates a different image of a person and if you do too much , it can actually influence how you want people to perceive you as a person and could possible cover up a beautiful personality
There's nothing wrong with doing whatever you want to make yourself look the way you want. If it makes you feel attractive, that's what should count, right?
I honestly don't understand nose jobs. I personally do not notice noses unless they are absolutely terrible.
