Would you ever go out with an overweight person? (Guys & Girls!)

Even though I'm a fit girl, I don't mind if my man is chubby. Sure, fitness is attractive physically and it means they take good care of themselves, but I can look over that to make way for things that are more important to me. What about you? Please explain your answer, I'd like to know what people honestly think.

(I'm not talking about can't-fit-through-the-door here. Not so overweight it would effect their health in a significant way!)

Yes - It is what's inside that counts.

Most of the time - But it does change my opinion of their character and lowers their chances.

Maybe - It really truly depends on the person, I can't choose one answer.

It's likely not - It would be difficult for me to do this and it would take a really special girl/guy to change my mind.

Never ever - I don't believe I could be attracted to someone who is overweight, and without physical attraction our relationship wouldn't work.

Most likely not for two very important reasons:

1. The most obvious is physical attractiveness. Fat ain't nice to stare at. You don't have to be rail thin, but rolls isn't my idea of a woman's "curves".

2. Any woman (or man for that matter) that is overweight has a problem with self-control. Their self-control issue happens to be in the food department, but it could be an indicator of lack of restraint in other areas. I see it as a red flag. Granted, there are some people who are overweight (though these are quite few) who honestly can't help their problem due to genetics. The vast majority of fat people refuse to acknowledge and take charge of their issue. Self-control in all areas of one's life is an extremely attractive thing to me.

It is more than just the weight.

it depends upon the person and his behavior, personally I don't have any problem if the girl is fat or not.

While physical attraction is a must. Spending time with someone can build or destroy that initial attraction.

That being said, I honestly don't believe I could date someone overweight. It says too much about them. Now a few extra pounds, I'm talking just a few, is not a biggie, and doesn't even put someone into the overweight category. Honestly, as a chick I expect weight to fluctuate. haha. But, going into that overweight zone, hell, something is out of control. Strong people fix whatever it is and fix their bodies. I have no problem with those who were fat at one time, that is admirable. But seriously, it's hard enough just looking at the outside and trying to figure out if they have issues and can you accept them.

It depends. He can't be obese or moderately overweight. A few extra pounds isn't bad but I prefer a guy who is in shape. If I make the effort to stay fit he should as well, it's only fair!
