Do guys like girls who are into sports? and does pretending annoy them?

I'm not that into sports but I genuinely love soccer, its honestly my favorite sport but I like playing it more than watching it. I am far from a die hard fan, Because I mostly watch highlights and check scores because I just can't sit through a whole entire game unless it like the world cup or I have nothing to do. And I definitely can't watch other sports. Except maybe basketball. I know the basics of soccer and stats and players and rivalries and all that and I can carry a conversation and understand a game, but I really only keep up with certain teams. And NO I don't watch to impress a guy! I have older brothers and its hard not to watch when you can't change the channel and since they both left I still watch. Anyways there's this guy I like that's a die hard soccer fan and knows way more about soccer than me so would I be better off trying to get more into it or does it really matter?

It really doesn't matter. I love sport and my fiance loves that about me, other guys think I'm faking it and some guys feel intimidated/emasculated by it. If a guy is seriously into a sport as long as you respect his love for it, that's all that matters anything after that is a bonus. If you don't say its boring, or constantly ask questions the whole way through a game or fake interest you'll be fine. Some guys love when a girl doesn't really have an interest but is willing to try and give it a chance. Plus you already know a lot more than most women. My interest in football is the same as you-a passing one but the fact I know some stuff still impresses my fiance after 11 years.

Emasculated yes. Guys who've gotten to know me better or have become friends have told me that when they first either watched a game or went to a game in my company, it did have that affect because they weren't used to a woman knowing as much or more about the game as they do and following it as much as I do. And other guys feel the need to quiz me as if I have some test to pass but don't do it to any guy

A girl doesn't have to love sports, but it is really annoying when they ask dumb questions when the game is on.You don't have love sports as long as you keep quiet during the game, that's the beauty of it. During we have non-fan quiet time. And wwe promise to have quiet time when girls are watching reality TV or whatever. See, give and take.
