So I was in the same class as (let's call him Joe) last year. Ever since, I've caught him looking at me, but then quickly looking away. Often he'd just stand far away smiling and staring at me while I'm talking to my friends. This one time, I was sitting next to him and our legs kept touching for what felt like forever. Both of us didn't move, and I saw him flushing. Now after all these signs, there was a point when I made the first step and came over to him when he sat alone. Anyway, our conversation was really awkward because I'm just so nervous around him (Even though he's a shy guy, he is really handsome, into sports, smart - it really intimidates me!), so he left quickly saying he needed to go to the library... That's when I started to get confused, because if he likes me - wouldn't he make an effort to talk to me?
Now - it's been a year- we're in the same group of friends. Sometime ago, I said Joe was good looking in front of them and his friends then said he had messed up "real big" with a girl, but wouldn't tell who it was. I've noticed lately that he's more open and talking to him works out better now. Anyway, yesterday our group of friends was walking to another friend's house after a movie. They decided to take a shortcut which involves jumping over this stonewall... I couldn't get up there and felt like a ladybug ^^ He was the only one who stopped, and just held out his arms at me saying he'd help me get up there. I just told him I'd be fine jumping up there, and I did. Do you guys do that for a girl you don't like? I'm just really confused because I've never been into a shy guy in my life and he acts so different than the normal extroverted type...
