Sports wise...are best of seven series better than one game to determine winners?

I am a sports fan, especially pro football.

But are the best in series better than something like the super bowl?

I think so because instead of sudden elimination from playoffs/tournaments/etc., you see how a teams or athletes can handle true competition, and not simply just surviving. In the world of sports, anything can happen in an instant that changes the entire course of events after that. So multiple games or sessions that don't end with one elimination account for bad conditions and really let you see if a team/athletes can win on their own, and not simply because of luck.

Any team can have an off game. 7 game series are better indicators of a team's ability.

I like them better. It proves who's the best team and not who's the best team that day. It would be hard to make the super bowl like a 3 game series so one game works well for that.
