Will acne spots dissapear?

Let me give you some good advice. DO NOT USE PRO-ACTIV.

Your skin gets dependent on it. I know this from experience. I went to a dermatologist, and trust me, it's not expensive at all.

He/she will probably start off by trying out some antibiotics for you, and that might work.

I say, if your acne is like that, tell him that you want to do Acutane. It has some side-effects, but sometimes people never experience them. Actually, most people. Basically, you'll take a pregnancy test, and you have to come back the next month to start Acutane.

If you are sexually active, you probably will have to use some type of birth control or contraception. For me, I just chose Abstinence because I know myself =P. Usually you take one pill a day for about three to six months, and it clears it up A LOT. Mine is all gone, and I haven't had a pimple since! And guess what? I rarely use face wash for my face. I just shower at night, and I wash my face with facial products from time to time. Best thing about Acutane is that your acne will never come back. Take my word for it. If you want proof, I can show you pictures!

Also, Acutane is not expensive. At all. My doctor actually gave me discounts so I paid like ten dollars a month for four months. Not bad at all.

But they take the whole 'don't get pregnant' thing seriously because your baby will have birth defects. After one month of stopping it, you may get pregnant.. if you want. And donate blood and resume a normal life. I really recommend it.

This is this best idea. But if you do go on acutane, use lots of lotion in places that get dried out. I get an icky rash on my arms if I don't. But then again, I have a lot of sun exposure.

Yeah, you're not really supposed to be exposed all that much to the sun.

I remember last summer right after trying lots of antibiotics and a month of acutane, my face was so so sensitive. I went to the park one day to meet my boyfriend, but I didn't have any sunscreen on, and I locked myself out of my running car. I waited for about an hour in the sun, and my skin was destroyed =P It was so bad. It was the worst because his mom came to meet me for the first time... =P

wash your face every day, it will go away

the scars, may be stubborn, because you might have to remove the tissue for it to regrow correctly and without error

but I think they have treatment for that, but hopefully its not too expensive.

i used to have acne spots, and now I'm pretty clear. I still have some, but it is not like before...

Be happy you don't have my acne problem, I have had it for FIVE YEARS. It's so bad that the dermatologist says I will have permanent scarring on my face. Sometimes I wouldn't go to school because it was so bad. Just don't get too much sugar in your system...and sweating will probably make the acne progress. So just try to keep the oils off your face and you should be fine.

Aw. I'm sorry you have to go through that...I've had acnee umm...4 years now but it's not bad azn scarring they usually fade away for me...

You should try Ambi it's fade cream they even have a face wash! :3

with proper meds you can have it gone in 2 - 6 weeks depending on doctor or infront of counter meds at grocery stores. just follow the directions place it on every day at a set time not missing it

Acne will go away eventually for most people but if you end up with a lot of scaring that probably won't. Some will fade but not everything. If you can see a dermatologist. Sometimes it isn't that big of a deal to change, sometimes it is. That is why a doctor can really help.

I started using ProActiv and it really helps! I use the basic three step system, and the facial mask and the only time I break out now is a week before "that time of the month" but if I keep washing my face, it hardly breaks out and goes away after 3-4 days.

It will clear it up after a couple months.

But they will/should fade over time.

If they don't, see a dermatologist.

mine took about three monthes to completely disappear and I use pro active moisturizer and some scar cream/ gel I bought at the health food store.
