What do you think the best kind of diet is for weight loss?
I've always used juicing mixed with intermittent fasting. I just watched the movie fat, sick and nearly dead.
My second choice has always been the paleo diet
Well, it would depend on what your end goal would be. Are you extremely heavy and you need to lose weight to get to a more appropriate weight (for instance, being 600 pounds and you need to drop the weight ASAP to not die), are you like 50 or so pounds heavier and you need to lose it a bit slower (then you would just eat reasonably and exercise), or do you just have to lose the last 10 pounds (in which case a water fast could be your best best, since it could just be water weight from the holidays). If you're what they call skinny fat (like you're not exactly overweight, but you do have a bit of a belly), then you would just need to exercise and eat healthy (maybe look at what you're eating in that aspect).
To be honest, the best way to go, I think would be a vegetarian (maybe even as vegan as possible) diet and do cardio and weight lifting. I mean, have you ever seen an overweight vegetarian (who ate healthy-not the kind who eats a lot of cakes and candies)? And, you should probably also keep a food journal (you'll be surprised how many things you're eating without realizing it). But, really, just eating healthy and exercising is probably the best thing to do (I just say, a vegetarian/vegan diet, because meat is extremely unhealthy-IMO).
For me, it's calorie counting. If I keep my calorie intake below 1200 a day, weight drops off me. It's not too hard to stick to, because I'm not cutting foods out or starving myself.
Dieting requires eating less calories and probably goes best with some exercise. I suggest you work on a plan that involves 1300-1500 calories/day and some exercise which may mean just walking everyday.
The diets most discussed are Weight Watchers, Paleo and now the DASH diet.

Things like fasting do not help .. in fact, they work against you. I lost weight by sticking to 1500 calories a day from fruits, veggies and lean protein and walking 5 days a week. I did discover along the way that I could also eat lots of steamed veggies between meals in addition to the 1500 calories. I lost 45 pounds over 6 months ... about 1.5 to 2.0 pounds per week.
that's pretty good, all bodies work differently I was knocking off 6lbs a week with intermittent fasting. It isn't exactly healthy but I was looking for fast. I will have to look up the DASH diet I have never heard of it, but thank you!
Low Carb High Fat link or Paleo link will get you quick results. They all basically work the same. Decrease the amount of carbs so that your body stops storing the carbs and starts to breakdown your stored fat and muscle to use as energy (ketogenesis).
If you are looking for more long-term and less drastic diets or something to ease your way in to the ketogenic stuff this list is helpful link
Im currently on the Paleo diet and it was tough at first but it really is a lifestyle change and you should feel great after a month

Exercise and eating good food... Specific diets which neglect one thing or another often come with health issues because it's just not good to deny your body of the things it needs. Calorie counting isn't really that good either, ever see athletes diets? They have great bodies, but if you ever look at their diets they actually consume more calories than the average allowance.
a diet where you get all your proteins, minerals and fiber in your meals but they are low in calories to create a deficit so your body uses the fat stored in your body for fuel
there really isn't any need to let your body starve with intermittent fasting if you eat 3-4 hours a day in small amounts, you will still lose weight and your body will have essential vitamins and nutrients throughout the day
Well I think any program is good, because they all work if you follow them. I couldn't say anyone is better than the other because everyone has there own opinion.
The low carb diet. So avoiding simple carbohydrates and eating complex ones in moderation. It is the only diet that has worked for me and the one most trainers recommend.
The kind with the calorie deficit. Seriously if you think it's more complicated than that you've been brainwashed by way tool many fad ads.
Eating healthy
-No fast food
-No liquid calories (fruit juices, sodas, etc)
-No fried foods
-Limited amount of sweets
No diet is going to work without exercise,x
you can lose weight if you aren't eating I'm just saying.
it's a disorder, I know.
but... if I'm desperate enough ill do it
You won't see the weight loss by putting your body into starvation mode, you will just become ill and you will gain more fat cells deeming it harder to lose weight next time. The science behind weight loss is to reduce the amount of fat storing cells active, and not eating will do the opposite.
I've watched someone drink only water for 30 days.. they lost weight.
Low carbs
Fruits and veggies
Plenty of exercise
