Dont focus on body parts when you're losing body fat. Its not being spread out evenly an the same goes for getting rid of it.
Do some seriously intense running. Its easy to get into and easily monitored on a treadmill. Do high intensity interval training. Increase the speed and time between the intervals every two weeks. Couple that with some regular exercises, cut down some on carbs and fat, increase your protein intake. This is similar to an article I read written by jim stoppani if I remember correctly.
I lost around 12kg over 6 months. I was a bit on the chubby side but definitely not overweight.
Can i just do HIIT on upright bicycle or the rowing machine instead of running? The treadmills at the gym i go to get too complicated when changing the speed and i can't go running outside cause it isn't too safe

If you could alternate, that would be even better. The challenge is knowing how well you're increasing your timed intervals and speeds using two very different exercises.
I recommend two things that worked for me on the exercise front. Jump Rope skipping and weight sqauts. I personally believe that these two exercise along with a healthy diet helped me get rid of love handles

I changed the name of them to my "hate handles" because I loved nothing about them. I did a cool workout of side to side crunches and swinging a sledge hammer over my head in sets.
Try, to cut out grains, they cause bloating, look into paleo
