I enjoy plastic cars and airplanes, and detailed wooden ship models.
I used to love building WWII and especially WWI airplane models. I had a lot of them. I did some cars, too.
It was really popular when I was a kid in the 1960s. Hobby shops were a big thing. But model kids were also common in every drug store, dime cent store, and department store.
My dad was an airplane buff. From the time I was young, he took me to air shows and museums, and to his monthly meetings of Cross and Cockade WWI aero historian meetings.
Snoopy and the Red Baron was popular, as were Maltese crosses.
Car culture was also a big thing. Hot rods and modified cars were popular.
So yeah, I inhaled my share of modeling glue and paint vapors. LOL

I hate doing models but I do have Warhammer 40k I do not enjoy gluing but painting is fun. but I do enjoy LEGO. And I collect diecast cars have hundreds, and a few Daron Die-cast planes, Stuka, Enola gay, B-2 bomber, C47 and an A-10.
Love them, I created a bunch in the past. This Thanksgiving I created a few mini wooden cars with my son. and at school, I'm trying to see if I can build anything with the class. The teacher won't be here plus all the kids are ahead so it's the perfect opportunity
I haven't, the last time I ever did anything like that was for a group project in class. take a wild guess how it went lol. I do want to try it though, I've seen some pretty interesting models out there.
