Why or why not?
Do you have any favorite plants?
I really love hoya, jade, tradescantia, pothos, philodendron, and monstera for inside plants. There's practically a jungle in my house.
For gardening I love tomatoes, potatoes, turnips, greens, melons, and pumpkins the most.
I also put plants in my aquarium and coming out from the top for hydroponics.
My wife is heavily into plants, but she doesn’t really follow the directions. She just plants anything into the side yard, aka the garden. Somehow though she has a green thumb except for growing orchids. She buys them everytime we go out almost like a collection but they keep dying on her unfortunately. I myself follow my dad’s footsteps and my sister and I make a garden in the backyard every year. I use a tiller and we plant tomatoes, hot peppers, bell peppers and beans. The harvest one year was 100% successful on the tomatoes and 10% on the rest of the stuff. Last year it was 60% successful on harvest.

It's a recent thing. It's kinda like therapy to an important person in my life. I build planters for them and help them expand their plant count. They would like to make a career out of it one day and they are very passionate about it which makes me passionate to help.
I somehow made friends with orchids, I hated them as a child to be honest.
Other than that we have indoor bananaplants and outdoor vegetables and fruits.
Its different from year to year but we always have tomatoes, zuchini, and the fruit trees, e. G. Apples, cherries, quince. Also deoending on thehseason we have chillies outdoor or indoor.
We'll grow a veggie garden every year in the summer. Then we have an apple tree. My mom buys lots of flowers to make the outside house look nice. I have a pet plant that's a succulent (not a succubus, succulent).

My wife handles the inside stuff, I do the outside.
"Excited" might be a push. I like to get outside and it's great seeing the end result while you are resting from the labor. It's getting harder each year, so I try to do it as best as possible on the first try to minimize re-work. I added a cucumber trellis two years ago, testing construction for a larger tomato trellis. I added the tomato trellis last year and the plants outgrew the (7 foot high) trellis. Will fine tune this year. Hard to get a particular varietal that will perform each year, especially for (mild) green peppers. Annual weather changes always seem to fight our picks for the year.
Tomatoes, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, green peppers, lettuces, onions, green onions, garlic (a biennial), spinach were working. Carrots are usually a bust, even after amending, soil is just too darn dense, so not really worth the cost/effort. Dill, basil always do well till a freeze. Lemon balm, oregano, thyme all do great - we use for ground cover all over the yard!
I don’t currently, but I actually love the idea of a sunroom that’s just an in-house jungle, like you said you have. My aunt has something like that in her house, not THAT many plants, but a good amount. I guess she even talks to them, seems to think it helps them, haha. Whatever, that’d still make her far from the craziest person in our family😂 I have another buddy with a huge outdoor garden. He grows tons of vegetables, and weed, lmao. He enters it all (minus the weed) into this big regional fair and he’s been winning the last couple years, so I’m proud of how far he’s come in less than ten years.
I have been disappointed with my vegetable garden the last few years. I was looking it over yesterday and I am going to try and get an earlir get some seedlings planted in the spring and maybe even put up a fence around the garden to keep the varmints out.
Those plants you posted are gorgeous. Yes I love beautiful gardens and especially flowers.
Roses are my favourite, followed by orchids. Your choices sound amazing though! Sounds like you have a beautiful garden
I work for a landscape company and last season I planted almost 200 trees and one of the jobs i did was 3500 plants we have some of the best landscapers in the contry
Yes to outside gardening. I have lots of rose bushes.
Yes! I love taking care of my indoor plants it just gives a different look to the house that I'm obsessed with.
I think they're pretty but I don't have any of my own.
Nope. But indoor plants have a lot of benefits when well maintained, so they’re worth the upkeep.
Maybe a little, I used to when I owned a home but not right now
I DON'T HAVE ANY PLANTS... I NEED SOME
