Thanks for reminding me, that the fishing pole in my garage has a purpose.

Last time I was fishing was more than four years ago. Is still remember that we were catching Carp, Eel and Pike.

Hmmm... time to go fishing for trout again.

Tried it once. I don't like the fish smell and dirt. I cannot stand live bait or live fish. I am not baiting my hook with live bait, and I am not touching a fish. I am certainly not cleaning it. Too nasty for me. Now eating fish is a different story.

Long time ago. When my kids were youngsters, the family used to go camping at Jellystone Park, which had a small pond stocked with small fish. I fished with my kids. I put the worm on the hook and then they cast their line into the pond, almost always getting an instant bite. It was required catch-and-release and the fish knew that. They readily bit the worm/hook (dinner!), knowing that they'd soon be back swimming with their friends.

When I was about 35 and living in East Tennessee. My friends had a boat and took my son and I out on it one day.
That was the day my son caught his first fish.🐟🐠

He was about 8 years old but I still have the picture of him smiling really big and holding up his first fish he caught.

A few people and I went camping in August and I fished for about 20 minutes and got frustrated and sick of it. I liked being on the boat though, it was a beautiful day.
