Pros:
More strategic depth.
More realism.
Cons:
Adding more water to maps means the maps need to be bigger, perhaps 48x48.
Defender's Advantage may become too big to advance the game.
Current units:
Worker - Harvests Gold and Oil. Very weak in a fight.
Commando - Standard infantry.
Tanks - faster and tougher than Infantry
Aircraft - Sacrifices some toughness for extreme weaponry and mobility.
Aerial Transport - Move infantry and tanks around faster than their own movement points allow.

what game?
The game is called "Battle of Wits: Modern Conflicts," which I've invented. Its' sort of like a cross between StarCraft and Axis and Allies. The game is played on symmetrical 24x24 space maps with only three simple tile types: Water, Grassland, and Forest. Moving through forest costs 2 movement points. Ground units cannot move through water, but air units can cross terrain without penalty. You roll six-sided dice to determine whether your combat units hit the enemy units.
If you need more details, I can provide them. Perhaps I should make a MyTake and post the full rules set as it stands.
