If you have a pet snake, do you take it for a walk? Exercise for the snake is good... and for you too.

I had a 5' long California king snake for a pet when I was a kid. It was longer than I was tall. I never walked it on a leash, but I used to walk around the neighborhood with it around my shoulders and wrapped around my neck or coiled around my arm.
I used to let it roam freely in my back yard with supervision, too.

I also hate snakes. With 10 of the top 20 deadliest snake being native to Australia I am scarcely going to like them. There are a lot of factors in what makes a snake deadly of course so the 'top 20' is ambiguous. The inland python has the most toxic venom but it is shy so it isn't know to have killed any body yet.
I wonder how she stopped it wriggling out of the collar. I suspect there's a bit of cruelty going on and a good dose of glue.
my snake walks me...
No. Lots of chihuahuas around here. Too much potential for tragic feeding errors.
Yes, as long as the snake isn't poisonous. Lol
Was this woman mentally ill?

Seeing someone “walk” a snake always makes me smile 🐍✨ I’ve never taken a snake for a walk like a dog, but I’ve seen keepers let their snakes explore safe outdoor spaces or big indoor areas. It’s more like supervised roaming than walking. Exercise and enrichment are super important, but you have to watch temps, predators, escape risks, and stress. Indoors with climbing branches and puzzle-style feeding feels safer and still fun for both human and snake 💚
