On a scale of 1-10, how much of a Grinch are you over the holidays?

I'm not referring to just Christmas Day (although in my opinion, that's the only time when Christmas should be celebrated. Playing Christmas music before the 23rd should be punishable by death (I'm joking)). I'm referring to what people deem "the Christmas period", so let's say all of December.

Yeah, let's go with that. Taking all of December into consideration, how much of a Grinch are you?

On Christmas Day, i'm pretty jolly and festive but any other time I'm a stone-cold Grinch!

I’ve experienced many awful Christmases for my age so I truly cannot get with the spirit. I try my best for friends and some family members but you cannot really help it when everyones singing Christmas songs and casually talking about their perfect family. I love it for them as many deserve this, but when you don’t have it yourself it’s not great.

I can get grouchy cause my parents ask me for gifts when I am broke and my dad does not respect my right to say no. I can also be antisocial cause I feel like everybody in my family is so vain and fake and prideful and disrespectful but in general I am a nice person who doesn't mistreat others and I am never stingy unless I have debt to pay off.

I admit to being a full on Grinch over many years when pressure of time and things to be done never gave me time to enjoy Christmas but since retiring I’m around a 2 or 3 but aiming for a Mrs Santa soon that said I will still be married to a Grinch!!

A 3 I guess. My kids tell me I am the Grinch (I've read them the Dr. Suess story a number of times), but it's pretty much impossible to be one if you have small kids.

I find it hilarious how people talk about The Grinch and Scrooge, apparently forgetting that at the end they both ended up with the giving, holiday spirit.

Sure, and at the end of of A New Hope, Darth Vader switches sides to protect his son and ultimately defeats the most evil character in the whole universe... but when someone says the name "Darth Vader", your mind doesn't jump to the universe-saving father, does it?

5 or something. I don't celebrate Christmas, do nothing for it but I'm totally okay with everything surrounding it happening as long as I don't have to participate

Christmas isn't the same anymore and now all it does is irritate me. Long lines, no Christmas dinner or tree, no unwrapping presents...

I don't really care for Christmas. And I can't afford to be able to buy presents for my girlfriends, as we barely make enough to live off.
