Happy Holidays! 😊
What is your holiday dinner menu?
Happy Holidays! 😊
Pretty much ironed it all out now.
Starter is Smoked Salmon with Beetroot and Vodka crème fraîche.
For mains we are having Venison (with black truffle butter) and Beef, usual veg such as Roast potatoes, roast parsnip, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, Cabbage, the gravy is a mix of venison and beef juices with some red wine added.
Dessert, Tiramisu and or Christmas Pudding.
Boxing Day is a bit of a mix of stuff.
Curry, Chilli, make your own pizza, random Snacks including vegetarian options,
@chrismaster69
Quite the show. How much does it cost to attend?
@PrettyPriya lol it’s free to attend.
It’s the dishes and tidying up on Boxing Day I dread or rather the 27th lol
Christmas we have ham, Mac n cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, and some deserts sweet potato pie, chocolate pecan pie. So Christmas dinner is kinda similar to Thanksgiving with less emphasis on turkey.
New years we usually had Fat back, collard greens, squash, blackeyed peas, mashed potatoes, and green beans. And every year someone makes the claim that "if you don't eat your greens on new years day, you won't make any money through out the year" not sure where that saying comes from but I hear it every year.
I usually have Christmas lunch with one part of the family which includes:
- ham and cheese board- turkey with potatoes and veg- christmassy dessertI'm planning to throw a mid week event with my partner which will include soup, gammon and potatoes and a caramel cheesecakeAnd I usually have a new year's event which 7sually includes pork portatoes baked pasta and dessert.
Quite the menu! Thank you for sharing and I hope you have a lovely holiday gathering. 😊
We make a family Christmas eve feast in my parents house. I cooked red beet soup and pastries with pate inside. My mother bakes a cheesecake and make her famous cod in Greek sauce. My father makes deer roast and beef roulades.
It's a ton of food and I'm sure half of this all lands in trash.
Sounds like a lot! I would be all over the cheesecake. 👍

Tomorrow we are having specialty noodles cooked at home and resembling restaurant food and the day after we are having food from red lobster and on Christmas Eve, we are having lobster with butter.

@SecretsofKB
I know you have been assigned to work the holidays. Sounds like an appropriate option lol. 😊
@PrettyPriya
I was hoping for tacos, but gotta make do lol
@SecretsofKB
Well, perhaps Christmas wish will come true... 😕
@PrettyPriya
It'll be a New Years miracle more than likely.
@SecretsofKB
Well then, there is still hope.
@SecretsofKB I feel kinda guilty with my wanton meal now.
@chrismaster69
Don't be! It's actually a really good quality frozen pizza from a little marketplace here. I splurged a bit lol
Without Pineapple I hope 😂
@ChrisMaster69
My guess is this...

@ChrisMaster69

I've got friends getting together this week to make deep dish pizzas, and I'm bringing the extra taco fillings to make the ultimate taco deep dish pizza
I’ll do a variety of wings and maybe nachos for everyone to chew on early and for dinner I’ll a badass Mac and cheese, garlic and butter red potatoes, a nice salad, some prime rib, then a pecan pie, a variety of truffles, and a cheesecake and I’m sure my daughter will do green bean casserole and my other daughter will maybe do rolls and thats about it
Enjoy and have a lovely holiday!
I go to my older sister's house, and she usually has a nice spread of food dishes displayed over the kitchen counter. She usually has either roast beef or prime rib. with mashed or twice-baked potatoes, green beans or carrots, salad, rolls, soda bread. and you're allowed to go up for seconds, although 1 plate usually does it for me.
Sounds great! I hope you enjoy your holiday with your family!
I actually celebrated Christmas for the first time this year, albeit early. My current SO celebrates the holiday, so it was a first for me.
He has now travelled back home to gather with his family for the actual holiday. So, I will not be doing anything on Christmas Day, but I did get to partake in the traditions, which was fun!
This year I'm doing things differently and making whatever we want instead of the traditional foods. Thanksgiving was Puerto Rican themed with arroz con gandules, pasteles, pastelon, rellenos de papa and coquito. For our Christmas party last night we did a full blown taco bar.
This is fantastic! You do you! I have a great friend on the site that will love your opinion.
@SecretsofKB
She loves tacos. I hope your and your friends/family have a wonderful holiday. 🥰
@PrettyPriya @AydenHazor
Haha yes!! I love tacos!
It was great! I made shredded pork in the crockpot, ground beef, a vegetarian bean mix, and corn relish and others brought tortillas, shells and toppings.
I hope you have a fabulous holiday as well!
I just having Chinese food for Christmas Eve since I’ll be working and won’t make it to my aunts house for the dinner
For Christmas Day I don’t know what we are making besides a port roast I believe
I hope you enjoy and have a nice holiday!
Thank you and you too
since it is Mexican Christmas.. the menu is never ending, but this year we're adding Spaniard food, so that means at least Tapas, Paella will be added... and I am very much looking forward to it
I hope you have a great holiday and enjoy time with family! ❤️

@DonkeyDan
I wish you the best and a relaxing holiday after all the hard work! ❤️
@PrettyPriya
Thank you my friend ♥️
@PrettyPriya
Do you celebrate Christmas?
@DonkeyDan
No, I don't but did this year for the first time. Had to early as the SO traveled back home to be with family for the holiday. Unfortunately, due to strict quarantine rules for non-citizens, I could not go with this year.
We celebrated early and it was a lot of fun participating in a new holiday tradition!
@PrettyPriya
So glad you had a good time with your boyfriend's family ♥️
