Mine would have to be either Elf or National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
+1 yI have 5 that I try to watch every year but rarely ever get to see the 5th one because I don't have a copy of it on DVD or VHS and, the only one I can find on YT is the cheap hour-long remake from a couple years later.
Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer
Better Off Dead (I know it's not a Christmas movie but, it takes place around Christmas.)
Meet John Doe
It's A Wonderful Life
Miracle On 34th St. (I can't find a copy of the original online or DVD!!)
SOMETIMES, I like to watch, "The Snow Queen" on Christmas morning but, the only copy I can find is a bit chopped up in one spot. When I first saw it on t. v. about 50 years ago, it was completely intact! But, since then, once scene has been almost completely lost either to film rot or some other malady dealing with the ravages of time. The biggest reason is BECAUSE I first saw it on Christmas morning while mom was getting part of the dinner ready. Maybe I'll watch it this year. But, sadly, this year will be another lonely Christmas. I have no more family, no friends, there won't be any presents or get togethers and the best I can do for a meal is something like turkey sandwiches.00 Reply

+1 yIt’s definitely a hard choice. I think Elf and then Christmas Vacation. I think that there are other shows I watch for fun like Polar Express maybe in too old… IDC
Home alone. I like the Charlie Brown Christmas too.

Hmm those are my favorites as well 🤣
but I’d add to it
The bishop’s wife (with Cary Grant and Loretta Young), and it’s a Wonderful Life
(with James Stewart).
I always have to see those two, EVERY year. One is hopeful, and the other sparks some fun in humanity, reminds me of my grandmother and peaceful times.
They’re both guaranteed to make you feel warm inside. 😊 ❄️🔥🎄

Omg and the Holiday and omg Last holiday! I can’t forget THOSE
Holiday with: Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz and the guy who voices ‘Lemmony Snickett,’ from the movie starring Jim Carey (unfortunate events).
And Last Holiday with Queen Latifah. Those two are somewhat funny, and romantic and somewhat comforting (for me anyways) to watch. Preview the trailers, I guess, if you never seen them. See if they look good 😊👌 - +1 y
The holiday is so good! Can't believe I forgot that
+1 yI loved Christmas cartoons about Santa as a kid but have not watched any since cause I spent every Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at parties until my best friend ghosted me in 2011. But later I partied with cousins and aunts and uncles and co workers.

+1 yI'm an old-fashioned guy... "It's a Wonderful Life", made long before I was born, but a Christmas Classic in every way. How can you beat the bell ringing when Clarence earned his wings?

@mickmrly I know, right? A man travels across the country to attempt to reconcile with his wife and children, attends a Christmas party, and puts his life and health at risk to defend his wife and her colleagues when attacked by brutal terrorists. And he throws himself at the mercy of God in a dark moment towards the end. It features Christmas music, references to Christmas miracles... it is a Christmas movie.
Naysayers be like "bUt BC rAnGER, iT was ReLeaSeD in June!" So was the original Miracle on 34th Street. I win.
Ernest Saves Christmas 😃👍. Ho Ho Ho Vern! Merry Chris…(Vern slams the door on Ernest’s face) 😛

00 ReplyBabes in Toyland / March of the Wooden Soldiers (1934) with Laurel & Hardy. Not the greatest ever made, but my grandma and I used to watch it every year, and I have continued to do so in the 11 years since she passed away.
