My family has lived in northeast Florida since 1790 so I don't need to travel to see my family. I have hundreds of relatives within a 25 miles radius, and I have second and third cousins who I see on a regular basis. Also, I will be taking two weeks away from the office at the end of April for the wedding and honeymoon so I will not take any time off now.

Probably not. We have before but it's extremely busy and expensive. And my mom already threw a hissy fit over me and my dad going on a road trip on Thanksgiving, so I don't wanna piss her or disrespect the holidays even more. We might go somewhere after New Year.

I'd love to take my son up to Yorkshire for Christmas and see where I spent most of my Christmases as a child, but since what made it was the people and all but 3 of them are dead it might be pointless.
