Yes, I bake my own or someone in my family does
No, but I buy them.
I hate Christmas AND cookies.

Yes, and in fact I make frosted sugar cookies that look just like the first picture. I also make snickerdoodles, peanut butter cookies with a Hershey kiss on top, and chocolate chip. I like my holiday guests to have options.
My girlfriend had never had any of these except chocolate chip, and she loves the peanut butter and the snickerdoodles. The name threw her for a loop, but once she tried them, she was sold.
My mother also used to make molasses cookies at Christmas, but I was never a big fan of those.
What I AM a huge fan of is her homemade toffee, which is affectionately referred to as "crack" because it is so addictive. It's homemade toffee with melted chocolate chip on top, and then topped with fresh-toasted almond chunks. She still makes 4-5 big batches every year - including a batch of sugar-free for the diabetics - because everyone in the extended family waits all year for it.
Lmao, I live in a very nice house with a million-dollar view of the ocean…. and we have a stove where the oven no longer works. Wtf kinda povo shit is that?🤦♂️😂
Although, hands down, the most latently feminine thing about me is when I’m in line at the supermarket and there’s like a Better Homes & Gardens magazine on the rack and it’s the Christmas cookies issue, and for a split second I envision some scene where I’m baking and decorating these fancy cookies, before my gorilla-brain kicks in and is like “STOP THAT! YOU’RE A MAN, NOT A LADY!”, lmfao
I definitely remember making them with my mom when I was little though, and I got to sprinkle the sugar-glitter on them, that was highlight reel stuff😝
Hell yeah. Always left a mess though, I’d still be finding sprinkles in the couch in April lmao.
This has me thinking about how I’ve never made a gingerbread house before, that looked wicked fun, but also like something that might not come out like the picture on the box😂
Lmaoooo, same
No, I don't bake any Christmas cookie. I may be good at cooking but I totally suck at backing. There are enough people that will support my claim.
When I was still living at home, even our old Belgian shepherd "Rex" tried to eat my cookies that were rock hard. He looked at me with condescending eyes as he was attempting to bite the cookies. I swear that I could see tears of frustration in his eyes as he was trying to break them. My folks surreptitiously gave Rex their cookies because nobody wanted to break their teeth on them.
I have tried once or twice but failed to produce better results, which led me to abandon baking.
I don't buy Christmas cookies. I have enough family members and relatives that will gladly leave me some, as if they are mocking me and my baking ability.
I've been baking Christmas cookies for a while but only a few of the sugar and frosted ones, no one likes them lol I usually bake M&M cookies, peanut butter cookies and pecan turtle. They are in the shape of a Christmas tree and stars, so I do consider them Christmas cookies.
Baking Christmas cookies is a wonderful tradition. The aroma of freshly baked cookies often takes me back to one Christmas when I first tried making Speculaas, a spiced Dutch cookie. The combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves filled the air, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Whether it's classic sugar cookies or a more adventurous flavor like lavender shortbread, each batch has a unique story to tell. 🍪🎄

I make everything if it's something that I want I will make it before I will buy it just to see if I can do it well I take that back I know I can do it I just want to know how good I can do it this year I don't know if I will bake any I haven't but I'm sure I'll make some just regular cookies
We make our own. It's just a tighter schedule this year and Im falling behind. Usually Brown Sugar cookies, pinwheel cookies, choco-mint snappers (may have to pass on these this year), my own recipe homemade double chocolate chip (milk + semisweet), and spritz. Usually about 1500-2,000 (they are smallish, about silver dollar size, so people can indulge a bit without too much waistline damage.) Dough for the first two is ready. The last two have to be made fresh as it is used, darn it- can't make that ahead.
American cookies are disgusting so I don't bake nor use their recipes. I only buy good quality french cookies with real butter. Chinese make decent cookies as well... less sugar.
cookie snob...
I bake my own sugar cookies at Christmas.
But I also give sugar to your cookie too.
Nope. I get ton of cookies, dried sausages/ham and champagne bottles as gifts before Christmas. Most of those cookies land in trash anyway.
I do! I spend way too much time on them. Shaping and cutting them, decorating them with the different colored frostings and sprinkles. It actually irritates me when people eat them 😞 That's why I think I'll just start buying them, there's no emotional attachment.
Photograph them before serving, before or after the oven
Tried it once, they looked more like spooky Halloween cookies than anything else. But they tasted good.
Love baking Christmas cookies and gingerbread men. Mince pies too
No just get it from the store and put it in the oven to cook.
Girl be so foreal 🤣. What's shameful about buying cookie dough from the frozen section of a store and baking it into an oven?
I like Christmas but I don't eat cookies. I would learn to bake them if there was enough demand tho
Yep, every year I bake cookies for Christmas 🎄 I enjoy doing it 😊
Oh god yes, hundreds of them and the boys love to help! Takes a day to get the kitchen back to normal after that.
I never have before. I could see it being relaxing, though.
Hmm I might need a boost 😂
😆 I used to know her on my old account.
I was here a while ago. Things got crazy so I deleted my account. I’m just back to mess around for a bit
Possibly. I was here a good bit a few years ago or so.
my old username was bigpauly
I had a good circle of friends for a while here

My mom used to do it but she kept saying how people don't eat them much anymore. kinda sad
Christmas or not, I always bake cookies anyway.
I am not a fan of Christmas cookies, but I like other types of cookies. Merry Christmas to you😘
no but I'll buy the ones that look like I baked them lol
shhhh it's supposed to be a secret!
I'm not a baker. I love to cook but I like using frying pans, pots and grills. I don't eat a lot of sweets and it's not really fun just putting something in the oven and coming back later
hahaha we all know that
I love licking her vanilla bean.
I can't bake to save my life, lol! Always buy them!
My wife used to bake so many different types of cookies for the holidays. Unfortunately she won't be able to do it this year
I made them once, coconut cookies, they were ok :P
I don't bake but my mom and aunt make them, and I can eat them!
