EVERY holiday, birthday, graduation, etc she asks me to get lotto scratch off tickets to go with cards or gifts KNOWING I want NO part of her THROWING MONEY AWAY! It's just a STEEP tax for people who are FUCKING STUPID at maths. That's it. That's all. I don't wanna be a part of it. Please stop asking me to be a part of this!!

I do it EVERY TIME she asks because of love and to take an errand off her list but it just makes my blood boil.

She probably also sees it as a small donation. The lottery in each state also funds local scholarships, in my state it was called the Hope scholarship, an extra $3k just for going to school within my state borders. Every loss I have is just a donation to that cause rather than a payback for me lol

In NYS it's corrupted. $1 played in my county gets $.12¢ back for every $1 played while others get $3.77
