Why do the haters say this about Die Hard?

Die Hard is a Christmas movie. This is an undeniable irrefutable FACT! Don't believe me? Read this article I posted in 2023...which I may repost to tighten up some arguments and make some of the jokes and references land better, but that's beside the point.

The deniers and the haters though are all "AAAHHH! Cast Away begins on Christmas! So you probably think it's a Christmas movie! Jumanji ends at a Christmas party, so it's a Christmas movie too, right? Rush Hour mentions Christmas, so it must be a Christmas movie too!"

They think my contention is that if it simply involves Christmas in any way at all, that I think it's a Christmas movie. A movie involving Christmas for all of five minutes does not a Christmas movie make. So why do these Christmas movie-hating fiends keep acting like it does?

It could have been at a birthday party. We need Christmas to be part of the theme. Not just decorating background. If not then rush hour is too. But I agree die hard counts and has more about Christmas then other films in same category.

I'm going to agree on the basis you can guarantee one TV channel will play it around Christmas time and that's the real definition of a Christmas movie.
