Why do people deny hating their opponents?

I have seen people on this site say the most rabid, viscious, and vile things about liberals and gay people qnd other minorities and yes I am pointing the finger at conservatives and I don't care if you feel both sides are at fault because most of the visceral hatred comes from the right. Yet when you confront them about why they hate them they always say "as a Christian I am commanded that I can't hate anyone" yet two minutes ago they were twlking about shooting the liberals and wanting to revoke their citizenship, if thats not hatred then your definition of love is Batshit crazier also if you refuse to condemn the Republicans for their actions and bring up the lazy excuse "both sides are at fault" because you don't want to condemn republicans then you are part of the problem as to why the right wing gets away with a lot of vile comments and actions.

Yes, it's not really debatable that the Conservatives are the far more hate-filled side. It's worse on this site but the emergence of Trump made it mainstream to be racist and homophobic again when society had been making progress on those fronts. Then, like Trump, they revert to middle school insults when you disagree with them. Conservatives were largely decent people before he came along.

I used to be conservative until trump came along, he reminds of Peter III of Russia who insulted everyone in power until in the end they allowed and supported his wife catherine the great to take over and kill her husband. Peter III contributed nothing to the growth of the Russian Empire, so to trump did nothing to contribute to the growth and prosperity of the United States.

Yep, he only did what was best for him. He doesn't care about America unless what benefits America also helps him somehow. I never voted for a Democrat for President before Biden.

Same, I voted for Biden out of punishment for conservatives and I had my doubts on them as soon as they started turning on Latino Republican voters who put them in power in the first place, this hatred and xenophobia started under Nixon and then grew and flourished under trump, at least bush jr tried to not sow division against minority republicans.
