Do you still have your Christmas decorations up?

I took down the tree yesterday. It was the last to go.

Absolutely, they won't come down until I hear, "Becky, I think it's time to take the Christmas decorations down, after all, it is April". I have four really cute Christmas sleighs, with the horses, passengers and driver, that I keep on the fireplace mantel all year.

Yes, but a lot is put away. The outdoor stuff is still up because I need help getting it down and between family availability and the weather… it just hasn’t been the right time.

it has been very cold this winter so I brought in the outside lights sooner rather than later.

The floodlights were frozen in the ground and I had to pry them out with a shovel

Finally got the last of it down today. We used hot water to get a few things unstuck.

Yes, we do. In the Catholic Church, we usually keep decorations up until January 6th, which is the Epiphany. Though really, the Christmas season lasts until February 2nd, which is the Purification of Mary.

In the liturgical churches (Roman Catholic, Episcopal, Anglican, Lutheran,) Advent begins four Sundays before Christmas. The actual Christmas season begins on December 25 and end on January 6, the day of Epiphany.

For the past 10 years, for various reasons, I have lived in apartments and houses which were not decorated for Christmas. In August, my wife and I moved into our new home and I was committed to being decorated for Christmas. We have cathedral ceilings in the family room, so I purchased a 9' tree and all new decorations. It's like finally getting a sexual partner after a years-long drought; once or twice doesn't begin to make me feel satisfied. In fact, I am looking at my tree as I draft this response.

Being traditional , it’s 12 days of Christmas ( starting on Christmas Day ) so they will come down on 5th January. Leaving them up after the 12th night is considered bad luck Taking them down before is considered cutting Christmas short
