To prevent tyranny by the majority should passing a law require 2/3rd majority and a 3/4th majority if vetoed by a governor or president?

I don't think that the past 233 years give much evidence that our federal government has shown a tyranny by the majority, so. . . if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Society & Politics
