Because marriage is the most important institution of society, and I care about the way society looks upon it.
It's hard to ignore when they're shoving it in your face every second. Every single social media site, parades, commercials. Calm the fuck down already we get it.
Do you know how many commercials on tv feature married straight couples as opposed to gay ones. Pride parades happen once a year, and I hardly think conservative social media sites are hailing gay marriage... I think you may be either looking extra hard or not paying attention enough.
No that's a whole lot more than once a year. I don't know where you are. And of course there are more straight couples on tv. Bc there are more in real life. It's normal. I don't know what social media sites you are on but they're everywhere. Don't get all butthurt. I didn't say I was against it. I'm just saying it doesn't need to be in my face.

Technically, 16 year olds can get married with parental consent in some states. Sibling marriage is not aloud for obvious reasons you sicko. Most marriage comes to sex and having children, a child of Incest will more then likely be mutated. It's not that difficult to understand -.-.
Your best defense against 2 consenting ADULTS who want to get married is to ask about siblings or children. Are you asking for yourself because as far as I know, those arrangements were illegal yesterday and they'll be illegal tomorrow.

Would you fall for an unnatractive girl who you know for a fact is a lesbian? No, because you do not find her attractive and you don't even consider it because you know there is absolutely no chance (because she is a lesbian) It's the same with you and gays. Just because a guy is gay doesn't mean he'll be attracted to you at all. He won't go afters straight guys and he'll seek out the most attractive gays.

Nothing in common? You probably have plenty in common with lots of gays. You might like the same food, have the same interests and hobbies, share the same ideas. Just because you're not attracted to the same people doesn't mean you have nothing in common. You could be friends with an unattractive women but she likes men and you still have plenty in common.
Look, it's fine. If you're homophobic you're homophobic. You can't help that or change that about yourself and no one can. I don't mind people who are homophobic as long as they can admit it and aren't trying to cover it up or make some excuse.

If every single person you know is the same, when anything different comes along... different race, different faith, different ideas, different sexuality, you're simply threatened by that thing because you don't know or understand it because you've never either had a chance to interact with it by proxy or rather then get to know it, you live in an unjustified fear of it which tends to bread hate and ignorance. You may very well have gay friends right now and not know it because they are afraid or chose not to come out of the closet. You will never know for sure because contrary to popular believe, not all gays are flaming or effeminate. Anyway you can't ever know how gay people are or rather they share any interests with you if you never interact with them. It's the same way you can never know how to actually drive a car, if you never get behind the wheel.

Homophobic is the fear or hatred of gays. You find what they do disgusting. That is a type of fear. You want to stay away from them because you find what they do disgusting. Therefore you fear them and are homophobic.
I think what we're getting at is you have illustrated by way of your comments that you are homophobic. You fear, the unknown, gays in this case, which by your own admission you say you don't know them, you don't want to know them, and in your mind they have some type of genetic disorder, and you're making presumptions about them without in your words actually having met them. You've got a long life ahead of you, and not suggesting that you ever have to be best friends with any gay people (although would make the world a better place in my opinion), but at least interact with the thing you hate so that at least you'll have a basis, true or not, for your hatred rather then just making things up in the air and being fearful for no reason. For example, I could say I hate you, and you may wonder what makes me feel that way because you haven't done or said anything and I've never met you which wouldn't make much sense because what would I be basing my hatred on?

I was just talking to someone about this. Much the way in Colorado, weed was made legal and people jumped in and weed dispensaries popped up everywhere, now would be a great time to start gay wedding services and make a killing. So many people clearly don't want to do any business with gays come hell or high water, but hell that would be more money for me, and since there are so few services that cater specifically to gays, you could charge crazy prices. See this is where one should swallow whatever ignorance they have, or just be a savvy business man/woman and ride the rainbow wave all the way to the bank. Capitalism at its finest!

@Jaydog666 Okay this straight couple I know barely works, does not pay taxes, but gets $5000 a year in "tax refunds" just because they have kids. Plus food stamps and all these other spousal benefits. Now gay people will be adopting kids just to get that big $5000 tax refund. I don't know too much about all the spousal benefits of being married but apparently the government has to take money from single hard working people like me to give it to lazy married people. I don't care about them being gay, but I do care that they're going to be taking some of my money. :/
