Why anyone needs to enter a legalised contract to declare their love is beyond me. Only because there is money involved that can be taken away by the state in the event of their death unless you conform to their standard of living.

What vows? Most people don't believe in God anymore. Vows are only good if you believe in God. People just shack up and play house. One week it is with Steve , the next week it is Peter, even though Peter and Steve would really like to get married.

Nowadays in my country traditional wedding have become very rare. Almost 90% just go to the municipal bureau and let them being signed as married.
So just the formal stuff, everything else is mostly considered outdated and expensive.

@Ciel66 i mean generally thats not a good excuse to divorce. Also I've never once seen an instance where someone just changes. I've seen plenty of instances where people looked the other way on behaviors and then didn't anymore. Thats their problem. It means serious mental issues.
